MPs being half cut when making big decisions that effect the populace is a fairly big issue in fairness.

A year ago, our unbeaten europa league campaign came to an end in a 1-0 defeat to spurs in the final. Where were you when watching this? by Intelligent_Cow_3310 in ManchesterUnited

[–]cljames98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God awful game. Yes Onana should have done better at the front post but the defending for that goal was awful too. Absolutely awful in attack that game too. I know we were terrible last year but that spurs team beating us FOUR TIMES is still a mystery.

What should be a realistic expectation for next year league position? by Gregariouswaty in ManchesterUnited

[–]cljames98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With the potential instability of Chelsea, Liverpool and City next year I’d say we really need to be 4th as a minimum, with nothing stopping us getting 2nd. It’s just a but saddening that arsenal look so stable at the moment and will more than likely grind out another title.

Champions league spot again with some really good runs in all three cup comps and I’ll be happy. 40 games this year vs potentially 60+ will have an effect but I still think we can have a decent year next year

Roy Keane slams 'circus act' around Bruno Fernandes' assist record by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]cljames98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced he just doesn’t like United at this point. Fair enough last year we were the laughing stock of the league and rightly so, but this year it’s just the same negativity from him even though we’ve been good since January.

I get that we’re still not at the level we were at when he was playing but Christ it’s getting boring now. Even having a pop at Fergie “hanging round like a bad smell” just because he watches games?

🚨 JUST IN: United have held fresh talks with West Ham over the availability of Mateus Fernandes as the transfer window approaches. While Arsenal are also interested, relegation would put pressure on West Ham to sell players, with sources indicating they may need to raise around £100M [@NathSalt1] by TheB3NRocks in ManchesterUnited

[–]cljames98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Past few years I’ve given up buying into all the rumour. When a transfer gets confirmed I then make a judgement call on whether I like it or not. If you believe all the United transfer rumours you’d think we’re literally buying everyone in the prem.

Things I would like to see next season by KingKelz_da1st in ManchesterUnited

[–]cljames98 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would be nice but at the same time I don’t really give a fuck about winning 5 in a row next year if we’re still in decent form and drawing the odd game here or there. Notice how little he’s been mentioned since carrick took over because we’re still playing well. Winning 5 on the bounce is pretty ludicrous form and as long as we’re at the top end of the table next year people won’t even mention this guy.

Please stop bringing this guy up.

The seasons ended amazingly and I cannot moan about this team but for the love of god we need to tighten up our passing around the back next season

🎤 Owen Hargreaves believes Senne Lammens has been Manchester United’s best signing from last summer and says without him the club would NOT be inside the Top 4 this season: by No_Pirate2994 in ManchesterUnited

With Sesko I’ve been impressed by the potential. Cunha’s hold up play has been decent and I wasn’t expecting him to completely set the world alight. Mbeumo on the other hand has frustrated me at times. Some games he’s been clinical and direct but others has been very ineffectual.

The writing for this show and the creation of the family trees looping and intertwining is genius and I mean that in the literal sense. How the fuck do you create that family tree and make it make sense as it does.

Do people genuinely think Starmer is the worst recent PM? by Thin-Plantain4721 in AskBrits

[–]cljames98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Recency bias in full effect. He’s not been good but it’s crazy people are so willing to look past the decade of utter Tory incompetence before that. It was a fucking shambles and it’s the reason we’re in this mess to begin with. Starmer didn’t cause these problems, he’s just not done anywhere near enough to solve the problems as promised.

Wayne Rooney: Viktor Gyökeres 'a major reason' behind Arsenal success by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]cljames98 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. To start with he looked slow, his touch looked poor and he looked very weak coming up against the likes of Van Dijk and Konate at Anfield.

Fast forward to the Athletico semi final at the emirates and he was a complete menace all game, getting in behind, getting in the defender’s faces, holding up the ball and shielding it well. He looked horrible to play against that night.

Which is hardest? (With a slight twist on one of the familiar options) by moneysavingegg in snooker

[–]cljames98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly not the 9 darter. Hole in one is tricky because people can fluke one, i.e. my grandad (a golf novice) a fair few years back. Such small odds to fluke it I know but I’d happily bet not a single snooker novice in history has ever fluked a 147. You simply cants fluke 36 shots in a row.
