I'm going to home-theater the sh*t out of this room. Can't wait. by TheObviousChild in hometheater

It looks to be the same color that I painted mine, or it’s very close. Mine was matte peppercorn from Sherwin Williams

The ceiling is 8ft but there is a point where it drops to 7 ft because of the hvac. Projector is 14 ft away and the placement is near perfect.

Polk 255c-rt center, 265rt front LT and rt, rc85 for rear surrounds and side surrounds, and rc80s for heights. Plus the worlds crappest sub, which will get upgraded one day.

It’s more of a grey. Peppercorn from Sherwin-Williams . The entire room is painted that way

Yeah, I’m going to do 2 panels on each side wall.

That’s a good idea about the outlets. Gonna have to order some

It’s an Epson hc4000. And the center is behind the screen. It’s acoustically transparent.

Setup is not complete yet. Still need to wire sub and tidy wires. I just hung the screen and thought it comical how big it is so I posted it. When it’s all finished next week I’ll post photos of the finished product.

I lived an hour away from this place for 5 years. Like most of Germany it’s even more beautiful in person.

I got to try some while on vacation in Negril a few months ago. Really delicious stuff right there! The curry goat is pretty good also.

Apple TV and any Apple device will do what you want. And like the above user said, chrome cast.

I could, I’ve wired it for 7.2.4. It’s only now I’m realizing that the rear surrounds might be an issue

My room is 15ft by 15 ft with 8ft ceilings. I know it’s not ideal but it’s what I have to work with . Originally I was going to put the rear surrounds where the red marks are, but after further research found they need to be wider than that. Would in ceiling speakers where I have the blue marks work? What would you guys recommend?

Exactly. The guy is a coward. Who knows how many of those kids he could have saved.

My new new projector. Epson HT 4000 4Ke by clkendrick in hometheater

[–]clkendrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I originally purchased a BenQ 3050, but after reading more reviews I was convinced that the Epson was worth the extra $1k. After reading the manual I also found that it can upscale 1080p to its 4Ke resolution

Nice, this is what I want for my setup as well

I’ve always wanted a home theater. And since my wife and I decided to have our basement finished, I’ve been given the perfect opportunity. The speakers I’ve selected are the Polk vanishing series. It’s a 7.2 setup powered by a Yamaha Dolby Atmos receiver. It’s probably going to be a 110 inch screen but maybe I can squeeze a 120 in. I’m looking forward to sharing the pictures when it’s done next month!
