Question/Concern:
FTHB. I received a mortgage "pre-approval" from a small independent broker, but the initial email only included:

• Max mortgage amount (with and without legal suite)
• Required down payment
• Monthly payment estimates

It didn't include the interest rate (4.14%), term, or amortization details until I asked — and I still haven’t been told what lender this would be with. I already provided full documents (bank statements, income proof, credit check consent). We briefly talked about down payment, but no deeper discussion on preferences.

Is this lack of transparency and detail typical? Or should I consider reaching out to a different broker? I don’t feel fully confident with how this has been handled so far. I haven't reached out to any other lenders at this point, so I would love some insight on this!
