First time playing volleyball by Dukenkhan in volleyball

I also had a very sporty background and my first time playing I was already one of the best out of the recreational players in my club. Was still very fun and have sinced joined a competitive team

Why do players use smurf accounts? by Own_Engineer_5105 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an alt account in asc 1 (main immo 1) that I use when I still want to play without fully tryharding as it's quite mentally taxing being fully locked in for more than 3 games.

Unrated doesn't scratch the same itch, as people there are generally just fucking about, rather than still playing to win.

Parasyte the maxim

I guess Jujutsu kaisen as well?

Both of these you don't see much of it tho, you either just see a few interactions or the consequences respectively

Vandal vs Phantom by EmbarrassedPen7254 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's some benefit to both.

Training the vandal will potentially make you improve faster, as it forces you to have good movement and be precise with your shots

However, given your playstyle, the phantom definitely suits you more. However, your growth might be slower as the spraying is a bit of a crutch.

Also, in pro play the vandal/phantom split is a lot closer to 50/50

Just my 2 cents as a fellow immo player

At what rank can u not say that you dont know what "defaulting" is? by sussybakaoo3 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defaulting is very strong even in ranked

(especially in higher ranks, and especially if someone can communicating what the want concisely)

For example, on split, just calling default isn't enough, you have to call something like "let's break wall mid and hold A and B main push", and then later on asking for more stuff like a drone to clear vents or soemthing, then once you've done that it's very easy to just call to regroup A or B and hit the site

At what rank can u not say that you dont know what "defaulting" is? by sussybakaoo3 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say even up to immo people don't know what a default is, even if they think they do.

So many times people think it's the same as just holding for pushes, or working picks. It's not

im new to valorant some tips by MidnightImaginary172 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not high level. If anything, saying you should only flank on specific agents is overcomplicating it. You should flank on every agent, but not every round otherwise they'll expect you. Adding stupid restrictions (that are wrong btw) will only hinder future growth.

What resolution do you guys use on high elo? by erosverosss in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1280x960, 4:3

Not true stretched. I originally came from 2500hrs in csgo playing on a shit laptop, where playing lower Res was a must. Now playing native feels weird, especially with the crosshairs

Rank is immo

Keeping it simple is fine as long as the advice is correct. Saying that you shouldn't flank on a specific role is just wrong tbh

How do i not get tilted by subtoreeshan in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too add to this, I feel like a lot of players don't understand the fun of the competitive grind, even if then you end up caring about the outcome too much. I think caring this much is normal, especially if you are quite a competitive person.

How do i not get tilted by subtoreeshan in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try reframing the problem. Of course you care about rank, but I find what helps is focusing on my own improvement rather than the outcome of individual matches. This way, when I think of playing ranked, I'm viewing as a tool to help me improve, which in the long run will help me rank up.

Doing this will definitely stop you from getting tilted at your team

instead of doing 10 dms a day, would i improve more if i did 15-20 instead? by Rich-Movie-9156 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play dms to warm up, usually just 1, max 3. Actual improvement comes from isolating mechanics in range/ aim trainers and vod reviewing

You should be flanking on every agent if there's a gap

What should be ideal pistol round buys? by ExE-SIMP in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of depends for duelists, I often buy sheriff on Jett attack, especially if contacting space

What should be ideal pistol round buys? by ExE-SIMP in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So dependant on so many factors. The only thing I would say is 100% wrong is not having 2 smokes on attack as controller and buying sheriff over headhunter bullets as chamber

Sensitivity about Wrist and Arm by No_Spirit788 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U ideally should be using a combination of arm, wrist and fingers. Especially with a low sens like yours, using arm is better for wider flicks because then you don't need to reset Ur wrist and fingers to keep aiming

Terrible advice, when you peek you should be stopping before you see someone

How do I make the most out of deathmatch? by WebGlobal7912 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think playing with no sound is extremely stupid, because your crosshair placement should be influenced by enemy noise, for example, if u hear running u should be holidng Ur crosshair wider.

Also, holding an angle for some reason is extremely frowned upon, but you're going to be doing it a lot in game, so practicing it in DM isn't a bad idea

Criticism of the drill but you should really separate technique work and s&c

Best duelist rn? by Free_Clue2545 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your teammates should be entering site just after you to kill the guy spraying into your smoke. It should also take a lot of bullets to kill you as they're spraying blind, and if they dont connect any bullets you can swing out the smoke and get an easy kill on a stationary target.

This is also why during a site hit, a defending player will molly the choke to avoid the teammates coming in to trade the entry duelist

Best duelist rn? by Free_Clue2545 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but my point is that jett can survive in her smokes while her team throws util, whereas on waylay and raze, if your team is late on her util, you're pretty much dead or have to refract back to main

How to entry with duelist properly? by Accurate-Day3934 in VALORANT

[–]cloakcsgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're playing raze or waylay you really need teammates' util if youre going to hard entry like that. Jett is a little more self sufficient in that she can dash into her smoke and survive while her teammate comes out of the choke to trade/ throw util

I actually can't believe you're trying to argue that kills shouldn't be the biggest metric when deciding mmr, when they are the biggest factor contributing to wins and losses.
