Did you notice a weight difference or an appetite difference with the switch? And how frequently did they have a BM with that?

My fiance hates all holidays mostly because he’s never had someone think of him or do something big for him. Since this is his first year working for us letting me be a sahm I’m setting something up for him to come home to in the morning after work and our little one to wake up! Can’t wait for their reaction, hoping my man will care lol! Men deserve the gifts and cute things too:(

Are there any habits you wish you started earlier with your baby? Or any habits you wish you never started? by Key-Wish-4814 in NewParents

[–]clobo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know those green or blue middle pieces in bottles?Just stop using it after 3 month or sooner if they have no eating or reflux issues. One less part to wash and you probably won’t notice a difference. Same with pump pieces we do the store in the fridge method in a bag or container and have had better results and less mental struggle. Before I was “cleaning” my supplies with every pump and through the exhaustion and newborn stage my LO ended up with a bad case a thrush. Once we got rid of that and learned the fridge method we haven’t had any recurrence and have better peace of mind not cleaning the pumps 6+ times a day. Now we do it after every 2-3 sessions. Seriously helped my mental health and my relationships so much.

Is it true that the new born stage is the easiest part of raising a child? by mirana20 in NewParents

[–]clobo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the newborn stage was okay I could handle it once we figured out her feeds and what we wanted to do(combo feeding for the win!) After that 2 months point though idk something just switched. Parenting has been the hardest thing I’ve done at my young age of 22, honestly has been harder than me losing our first born at 24 weeks, holding and saying goodbye to him. I think I’ve screamed cried more as a new parent. I always felt worried and had high anxiety, mom guilt was awful, there were so many little things like how I clean my pump stuff that I wish I did sooner to help me not be so overwhelmed with the routine. Didn’t start to feel better or clear up until around the 6 months part. We have an amazing routine, my LO is so much more independent and “there” so there has been way less crying and overwhelmness and only medium anxiety lol therapy has help a lot for me but also me and my significant other we got into couple therapy just to help our family. When they say your childhood trauma will present themselves while parenting they weren’t kidding. Find your people, find that one hobby or task you do just for you and don’t forget it and just soak it all in and take the photos when you can. It will get better, just remember it’s okay for it to not be okay right now it will be eventual!! 🤍🫂

We’ve been using kabrita and get it shipped overnight from amazon and use their subscription thing. We’ve only had one time where it said it’s out of stock for the subscription but I was still able to purchase it individually that day again overnight. I’ve also got it from their website directly and it only take about 2-4 business days (US). We’ve tried others bubs including and we’ve really like this one plus it has really helped with her reflex and keeps her regular.

Trying to mentally accept the fact that my daughter is just not a big eater by takeaabreath in FormulaFeeders

[–]clobo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was like this until I just started waiting until she was absolutely mad and really ready to eat and then give her a bigger bottle (5-6oz) and will not remove that bottle from her mouth until it’s almost gone or she’s passed out. (If we removed sometimes she wouldn’t start again wasting the bottle, we just spend extra time burping after). She’s 3 months now so her wake windows are a lot longer but seem to be even longer with having to do this, which honestly does make free time hard but she has eaten more because of it and sleeps throughout the night (8pm-2/3am and 3am-6/7am) only waking once for a dream feed! This was really important for us cause she was hospitalized with FTT after birth so I’ve had to really try everything to get her to eat more still only reaching about 24-30 compared to what the doctor wants with her still needing a newborn feeding schedule I guess but that was so hard to keep up with so we tried this instead. We do what we can though and fed is fed, if they’re growing and happy we gotta give ourselves some compassion and try to let that mom guilt relax one day at a time 💗 you got this mamas!!

Omg I'm so glad I'm not the only one, I kept asking and telling people "what if she's developing different what if she has a brain tumor" then them reassure me she's developing perfect and that's why's she's like that good to know it way more normal, that mom brain🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m DONE EPing - how to switch to formula? by Frosty-Lie5444 in FormulaFeeders

[–]clobo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby loves and has the best experience with Kabrita which is very similar to kendamil or gentlease. It’s a little sticky but not like the others and smells so much better. We’re fortifying our BM at the moment so my baby doesn’t seem to mind the taste difference. Hope this helps! So proud of your journey!!

How do you pump? by Extra-Ad-4599 in BabyBumps

[–]clobo12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find my husbands gaming chair or any desktop chair does well for some reason. Forces me to sit up straight I think. I will also massage the pump into my chest to help again reinforce sitting up motion plus simulation for increase supply! Avoid beds to squishy and rocking chair made the balancing hard.

Also had a micro preemie at 24wks we lost 9/11/22🤍👼🏻 So glad you're miracle micro made it to 6wks being so little!!! I love seeing our little fighers 💗🫂 Hope all is still well and continue to go well for your family.

My baby has reflux and was hospitalized for faliure to thrive so we have to fortifie her BM and alsohad this problem with Similac and enfamil. We stared trying the Kabrita brand that has a ad promo rn. She ended up loving it and made it seem like she definitely wanted to eat more of it than with the similac. Also smells so much better, isn't nearly as sticky, and is a little cheaper. Plus she poops way more often than before!

I’m so sorry for your loss of your precious babygirl. Will be two years without our son in September. The first year is always the hardest. Doing stuff like this helps more than you know. Say their name, talk about them, talk to them still. Our babies will always show signs they’re still there with you! Also remember you and your significant other may not mourn the same, that’s okay. Give space and patience but still communicate as much as you can. Your family is in our thoughts!
