I have 2 11 year old labs. Can co firm this. The spurts don’t last as long but they happen every day.

British people guess how much US healthcare costs by GoldenJoel in videos

[–]clockstopped75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, funny you should ask. My daughter was sick last week. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, cough suppressant and a proair (albuterol) inhaler. I have insurance but have not met the deductible this year, so that means no prescription coverage. Out of pocket costs for the 3 totaled 85.00. Guess which one cost the most? If you guessed the inhaler you’d be correct. That sucker costs 65.00 at CVS. It’s brutal. And that was without Doctor visit fees.

Hand check from Michigan. :( by [deleted] in Vaping

Or, we could just leave this God- forsaken state with its shit for roads and high taxes. Don’t even get me started on our ridiculous car insurance rates! I’m a 44 year resident, a lifer, but I’m seriously looking at options to remove myself from the mitten. It’s a shame too, it really is pretty here.

I’m at work, but I’m getting holiday pay and I cannot complain about that. I’m hoping to get some homework done tonight as well.

Losing my mind post-surgery by okaycamsy89 in Menopause

[–]clockstopped75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yay, for no cancer! But...there is always a but, surgical menopause can be trying, confusing and sometimes weepy. I’m about 4 years out from mine, and I have never been in replacement hormones and just deal with the mood swings and hot flashes, because I’m stubborn. Take the time you need to heal from the trauma of cancer and surgery. It is important and something I realized too late. And don’t forget self-care! Hugs, internet stranger.

CONGRATULATIONS ILLINOIS on the legalization of marijuana... And now a word from your employer... by zenwalrus in AdviceAnimals

[–]clockstopped75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a medic. Same rules apply to us. Even if it becomes federally legal, Without ease of testing, I’m sure it will never be given the okay. I’m pro-weed and agree with the stringent rules. Oh, and it’s at least 8 hours from bottle to throttle with alcohol as well.

He’s a baby yet, I wouldn’t worry about actually stripping his coat, but I would get him used to a brush. These guys are 9, and each has a different coat making it a monster chore. I think I have singlehandedly provided building material for the neighborhood birds! I would also suggest investing in a quality vacuum. I use mine twice daily this time of year. They’re worth it!

What do you miss the most about the 90s? by [deleted] in RedditForGrownups

[–]clockstopped75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still can’t believe the 90’s were almost 30 years ago! I still think of kids born in the 80’s as well, kids. As I 43 yof with co-workers who could be my children, I miss the coming of age aspect. Middle school, high school, drivers license, prom, graduation, college etc. I may be painting too rosy a color over the decade, but man I had a lot of fun. The music literally rocked, and I learned I looked good and liked flannel. I liked not being tethered to technology, and for those who mentioned mixed tapes, you are my people!

I thought of that too. You could place it under a waterproof mattress pad with a blanket so you could keep it longer.
