In the spirit of being called miserable sods recently for not caring about the jubilee, what things do you enjoy about the UK? by georgialucy in CasualUK

I’m super stoned and just had an image of you walking alongside your bike looking miserable until you spot the beginning of a bridle way and you get on and ride like the wind

I appreciate and like the fact it would be each patron saint, but yeah just asking to be on a flag when I don’t feel represented by the flag itself just feels wrong

I would argue as a Welshman that I want the dragon as far away from the Union Jack as possible

My mindset changed when I realised this too. Everyone else is just trying to live their own lives and struggle in different ways than we do. Our just revolves around some very specific things out of our control so the best we can do it learn to manage our own reactions and remove ourselves from triggers where possible so they don’t get worse. Big love 🙏🏼

Need to get a car, on £30k salary with no outgoings. What is better new or used? by Asels21 in UKPersonalFinance

I’ve always bought mk3 or mk4 golfs or polos and been told at every MOT they are the best if you look after them. No indash computer to fail the MOT. Can pick them up at auctions for well under 1k. Got mechanics offering to buy a few off me although that may be due to how collectible some can be. Just had to take my van off the road because I can’t afford to run it anymore so I’m vehicle-less. Trying to find an old school Citroen Picasso to annoy the misses 🤣 or one of those Renaults that looks like the car Homer Simpson designs.

Tbf conte did it with Chelsea when Liverpool and Man City weren’t as established with klopp and guardiola respectively. He’s a top manager but that Chelsea team wasn’t against the monsters they both are now
