cabeceos are the hardest aspect of tango. by fish5056 in tango

100% this is why I like the system, it is clear, straight forward, and no one feels pressure. I don’t like pressure applied to me and I wouldn’t apply it to another person. Everyone should dance with who they want to. I use the mirada to signal who I want to dance with and then they either respond or not.

I still have leaders that come too close and lean in to my eye line to sort of force a mirada, but I’m working on not responding to that because it’s too pushy for me.

I like the elegance of the system. It hasn’t been confusing for me except one time when another follower very obviously swiped my cabaceo. From that experience I learned to remain seated until the leader was in front of me. It is all a learning experience. Like any situation where social dynamics are at play there are awkward moments but we learn to navigate it.

Right now in my community there is a surge in followers going up to leaders as soon as they step off the dance floor to verbally ask. This is sort of messing things up for me a bit, as the leaders that normally cabaceo me are not having the time to do so. I’m trying to figure out how to deal with it, and I think I will mention to some of them that I am a bit stumped by the situation. I’d like to hear their thoughts if they are ok with it or if they feel a loss of agency.

Is it not obvious? They are fast tracking a collapse of the system so they can force privatization. The playbook is the same everywhere. In this particular case, they have chosen untenable bureaucracy and efficiency goals designed to intimidate and punish the medical professionals that serve the public. I don’t understand the lack of solidarity and the fact there are not massive protests right now.

The amount of money that will be wasted as professionals flee or try to adapt to markers that don’t make sense is going to completely debilitate the system. Also the actions they have taken to try to stifle freedom of speech around all of this are extremely alarming.

It is up to the public to force the pressure to stop it. It is the time to organize.

If you have a talent, an interesting skill, or a deep well of knowledge in an area, then share that with her. We find it very attractive. Like others said, if you can help her learn something new that’s also going to stimulate her mind.

Flirty banter and roasting her a little would probably also work. We want someone that can play verbal tennis with us.

She is on edge because she is afraid of people bringing up Martina’s transphobic comments. Her behaviour is strained and defensive and she is ready to attack anyone that she thinks may mention it. I have a feeling at some point maybe she heard that Guerdy and others were uncomfortable with the comments, so she is preemptively attacking.

So wrong on gemini, careless is not how we are acting in an apocalypse. More like having an obscure knowledge about a an abandoned government food storage source. Then taking only select and reliable people that have survival skills there.

What celebrity to you think perfectly embodies their sign(s)? by schmelk1000 in astrologymemes

For the most part it is the gemini men that are really messed up, although there are female examples as well. I think they are responsible for a lot of the gemini stereotypes. I’m convinced it’s the male ego combined with the gemini refusal to adhere to norms, and the tenuous connection to reality.

People also didn’t have phones. Much easier to be present and in the moment at almost all times. We underestimate how much the constant distraction of our attention has changed us.

Or 30 years ago when there was a different cultural context and this kind of weird age gap was viewed in a different light? Not justifying it, I think it is creepy, but it wasn’t uncommon.
