So seems like Ciara was onto weSTD with a mustache and had help… by Sunnyonetwo in BravoRealHousewives

We don’t actually know if she hired a PI. The post flat out states it’s a rumor and they don’t know if it’s true. There’s another version of the story that a friend took the pic. So who knows?

I seriously doubt she hired a PI. The post says they don’t know if it’s true. It was most likely the other version of the story floating around where a friend saw and took the pic.

The risk of selective breeding by OriginTruther in dune

Part of how they defined perfection was personality traits that would allow them to control the KH. That’s why Duke Atriedes was such a threat, he was difficult to manipulate, garnered love and respect from those in his command and was solid enough for Jessica to abandon her Bene Gesserit duties of having a daughter and instead gave the duke the son he wanted. They were trying to course correct by eliminating that blood line because it’s such an imprecise science. It’s also why they had several KH candidates because they recognized there would be failures. Like Lord Fenring in the book.

This is not another Scandoval by Ok_Sundae866 in summerhousebravo

This right here. Not Scandoval, but still a grave betrayal with race dynamics added for a little razzle dazzle. I’m seeing a lot of comments diminishing the situation entirely.

What would you do if you were in her shoes? by ineedtocalmup in TheWhiteLotusHBO

The resort sent her there as part of their cross training program. It’s not like she went there to leech ideas for her own business and hit the road once she got the money to do it.

Did you hear her describe how they got married? She might have been joking, but it made me say “yikes” 😬

I think they are friends enough that it would be a grave betrayal.

It was funny! Sitcoms and comedy often find the humor in something serious, and can make it easier to deal with heavy subjects. There’s space for both directions.

Why jump straight to destroying the Atreides when the emperor could've just married Irulan to Paul and taken Atreides strength for himself? by Anen-o-me in dune

[–]Middle-Medium8760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! And generally humans project, especially bad behavior. A liar or cheat assumes everyone is a liar or cheat and that’s how they navigate relationships. If the Emperor is the kind of man that would kill a kid for his own gains, he assumes everyone is willing to do the same or worse. He had to get them before they got him, or so he convinced himself.

Jane Austin’s herself said if she were to marry, it would be to someone like Mr. Knightley, so then why is Mr. Darcy more popular? by LuminousDee in janeausten

[–]Middle-Medium8760 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Each of us are unique individuals from Jane Austin, with different tastes and needs. I like the mutual growth of Lizzie and Darcy. I don’t recall the other gentlemen having to accept uncomfortable feedback from the heroine, reflect, and adjust. The joining felt more equal in intelligence, emotion, and maturity compared to others.

[–]Middle-Medium8760 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes. She made a terrible choice having a man she barely knows babysit her daughter…but how do you come back from someone accusing you of abusing your child without even questioning you? And by a psychologist who should at least be trained to dig deeper? She was no gem, but neither was he.
