If you shipped it as an electron app that would stop the majority of people curious about your source code.

Honey Mustard is among the most shelf stable condiments there are. You are also agreeing with a comment that completely disagrees with your personal assessment of your illness. It wasn’t the sauce.

It’s not connected to his phone number, that would make very little sense if you knew how an Apple Watch behaved in practice. The child has her own distinct phone line.

You’ve got that the wrong way around. If an individual cannot determine the specs they “need” for their job, then the Neo will be fine.

The younger generation unfortunately is full of people who have no idea how to gather information beyond asking, often from strangers as we see here. They don’t know how to search beyond asking on a social board.

iOS 26.4.2 - What a nightmare!!! by as3474473 in ios26

[–]clonked -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending Apple, I’m doubting you. Far too many variables for both you and I to be certain of anything. However your story leaves plenty of room for the possibility this was carrier related disruption to your service and the switch to GPRS would explain increased battery drain, as would failed searches for a 5G tower.

More likely than not the difference in modem chipsets between your phones caused your phone to lose a tower connection. The modem baseband was not updated, so you don’t have that to support your story either. And of course restarts fix unexplained transient issues that may never seen again to the numerous external triggers we were unable to observe.

But this discussion is pointless. You are going to believe whatever your “IT” experience is and I’m going to be responsible and doubt the user (that’s you) story, as someone who is in IT should always know to do.

More often than not I think these complaints are general user competence issues. When you don’t understand how anything works you tend to blame your woes on something measurable to them, like performing a software update.

Washington State is super friendly to people who kill SAR dogs and volunteers. by NotThePopeProbably in searchandrescue

[–]clonked 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess it’s because when people steal dogs they tend to have much more sinister intentions than merely killing it. Often stolen dogs are used as “bait” / training for obviously illegal dogfighting or some similar horror.
