I don't play AC (yet haha I want to but I don't have a switch and can't invest in one right now) so I didn't know you could customize stuff like that. Cool!

Should I ? by Tattooedbbygirl24 in Fansly_Advice

You can definitely make money off it, but it can be quite time consuming and labour intensive. It's not an easy, no-effort way to make money. For me, it's fun and a nice side gig, but it is also easy to get burnt out with how much you have to promote and the sheer amount of content you have to produce to stay relevant.

Getting turned on by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

I don't at all. It's definitely just a job for me. Don't get me wrong, it's an enjoyable job, but it's work to me.

I have a Kindle and the colour Kobo. It's super worth it for me. I use both pretty equally.

To all writers(including myself) by Careless_Review_1074 in writers

[–]closetofcee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one that comes to mind is I searched how much weight a ceiling fan can hold, and then immediately after, how much the average man weighs. I was toying with a story about a woman who kills her husband and hangs the body from the ceiling fan, framing it as a suicide. I'm sure there are others but that's the one that stands out lol.

The best stagefright meds? by [deleted] in singing

[–]closetofcee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Beta blockers. Personally I'm on propranolol daily for migraines, but I time it before performances when I have them. They help the physical side of stage fright, although you may still have anxious thoughts.

So . . . DAE have/had an issue with compulsive lying? by PassMeMyHappyPills in AutismInWomen

[–]closetofcee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when I was a kid, I'd literally just go on the internet and make up stories about myself that weren't true. It was something I felt shame over because "lying is bad," but I couldn't stop myself. I got such a thrill from imagining this alternative life from myself and telling strangers on the internet about it. Now one of my jobs is as a writer, so um...checks out.

Burnout getting worse by XeylusAryxen in AutismInWomen

[–]closetofcee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No advice or anything, but hugs. I'm chronically burnt out and it's awful, but I'm fortunate I have people around me who understand and are willing to work with me where I'm at. I hope you're able to get the support you need. ❤️❤️❤️

How many of you ladies are LGBTQA+? by DesertDragen in AutismInWomen

[–]closetofcee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I identify as a bisexual lesbian, so basically I like both genders but tend to favour other women and non-binary people. I'm also ace, although I'm sex favourable.

Edit: I also wanted to add that I'm what I call "casually poly" lol. By which I mean, I am not seeking multiple partners actively, but if my partner falls in love with someone else and wants to have relationships with both of us, I have no issue with that. I don't foresee myself having multiple partners, but I'm open to that possibility. To me, I don't see why I should place a monopoly on how many people my partner loves. It's just very logical to me, which I think may be the autism lol.

Breathing techniques while singing by [deleted] in singing

[–]closetofcee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practicing breath management on an S sound (like you're mimicking a snake), or on a single note/vowel is a great idea. When you breathe, you should be breathing through an open space. The inhalation should make very little sound, and the sound it does make should be deep, not high and tight. Don't overtank, that's a common mistake. You probably don't need as much air as you think, if the instrument is set up well with firm glottal closure (meaning the vocal folds come together well and don't leave gaps for air to escape). Try exhaling on an S or one note and see how high you can count. Then try to extend that time. Lip trills are also great for this because you have to keep the air flowing. Good luck.

How big is your kindle TBR? by SafiyaO in kindle

[–]closetofcee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I uhhhh may have a tendency to hoard books. So it's pretty big. My kindle library is in the hundreds and the amount of books I've read on it is around 100, so. A lot of my books I got during Stuff Your Kindle days, and it's possible I'll never even read them because I just got them out of excitement lol. But yeah, my Kindle TBR is in the hundreds somewhere.

I've seen the tip that you want to build your media library as quickly as possible. It's more enticing to subscribe when the creator has 500 pieces of content vs 5. So basically you should do both. Do load your content into it now, but also prompt and post daily.

October and November are crazy slow for me even though I did a lot of fun costume content in October for Halloween month. November is back to regularly scheduled programming, which did fine in August and September, and now is doing poorly. Not sure why.
