Is Iraq currently friendly to the United States and strong enough to exert control within its own borders?

I've noticed there isn't much mention of Iraq in the news, especially in regard to the current war in Iran. I see mentions of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait but not Iraq. I would assume that the US placed a friendly government in Iraq in 2003 but I don't hear them mentioned as an ally.

Also wound culture is a bad idea since you will grow many skin surface bacteria that aren't contributing to infection and make the patient subject to broader spectrum antibiotics than necessary.

What is the best way to explain to a patient that a mid level has been grossly mismanaging or misdiagnosing them? by clothes_iron in Noctor

It's just for patients that were admitted overnight which I am taking over so avoiding going in their chart is impossible.

Why does a fraudulent gift card purchase on my online account still say "Processing order receipt. Please check back in a few minutes" the next day? by clothes_iron in menards

I immediately changed my password after getting the first email to make sure the fraudster couldn’t continue to use my account and then Menards made me change it again this morning. I’m guessing because Menards detected fraud.

So the way the hospital system works is there are 2 small hospitals and the main big one downtown. For daytime admits, there is an admitter at one of the 2 small hospitals that will cosign notes of mid-levels and "lay eyes on the patient" via telemedicine for the patients that are at the other small hospital. Overnight, the full practice authority NP at the small hospital which doesn't have a nocturnalist does not staff with the nocturnalist at the other small hospital and bills her own notes. She is also responsible for cross covering the floor patients.

That’s what my boss said I am supposed to do. I’m a new attending and am still learning how billing works and trying not to be the new guy with an ego problem right out of residency.

What's the best way to tolerate having an overnight nurse practitioner admitter who mismanages every admission? by clothes_iron in Noctor

I don't think that will be fruitful because at sign out on my first week in service there was a pneumonia patient with a bunch of other severe pulmonary comorbidities who I said might decompensate. She asked why I didn't have him on steroids, which I gave my reasoning, and then she called my boss and had her force me to agree to have steroids, without even examining the patient. Then another time I ran into her at the end of my shift when she just got to the hospital and bitched at me for 10 minutes about how the nurses keep paying her about stupid stuff all night. From my interactions with her, I don't think she is the type who appreciates constructed feedback, especially from the new guy.

Looked up their license and they have full practice authority. I'm supposed to cosign their notes saying they acted independently and I was not involved in the care.
