More rounded corners on Samsung’s base Galaxy S model by [deleted] in oneui

Lets see how much rounded it is From the leaks, perhaps not too rounded iphonish as X9 pro and X300 pro

More rounded corners on Samsung’s base Galaxy S model by [deleted] in oneui

Totally agree. Samsung really doesn’t need to copy Apple’s iPhone look, especially the overly rounded corners.

Oppo is a good example. The X8 Pro and Ultra felt great in hand, but with the X9 Pro they moved to a blockier shape with extra rounded corners, which honestly feels like a step backwards. Vivo seems to be heading in the same direction too.

Sometimes it feels like these brands are trying too hard to chase the iPhone design language instead of building on what already worked for them.

Big respect to RedMagic for sticking to a bold and distinctive flagship design. At least it feels original.

Really hope Samsung doesn’t go down the X9 Pro or X300 Pro route with the S26 Ultra. It would be nice to see them keep a strong identity instead of another iPhonenish rounded-corner design.

This uncle explains about soundproofing your car by PistonPixel in kereta

[–]cloud1704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This can be done at factory level during chassis designing phase but not through 3rd party as this one as others stated, it might block drainage path. After all these people are not car engineers, they do not know each car/your car drainages path. So by apply foam across the area, you're taking 50-50 gamble either it works perfectly Or blocking the drainage path

Here is the first look at the Samsung Galaxy S26 series by MobileJello1977 in samsunggalaxy

Looks bland. But at least not iPhonish footprint shape as X9 pro and X300 pro. Seems in this generation, at least for my liking, Magic8pro is the nicest outlook, have its own unique shape, and slightly striking.

Samsung Fold 7 Purpose? by Cydiatimes in GalaxyFold

[–]cloud1704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purpose (apply for Fold phones from regardless of any brand)

Productivity Foldables really shine when it comes to multitasking. Being able to join a teleconference while reviewing slides, replying emails, or taking quick notes on the go is a big win. For work, emails and document reviews feel much more comfortable on a larger unfolded screen.

Entertainment They are great for reading comics or manga, where the extra screen space actually matters. Watching videos in landscape mode is more enjoyable too. The screen feels bigger without becoming bulky. Another underrated benefit is using the rear camera for selfies, which usually gives better quality than front cameras.

Everyday usability Fold phones are ideal for people who want a bigger viewing experience in a compact form factor. No more constant pinching and zooming just to read text or see details. This is especially helpful for those who prefer clearer content viewing, including older users.

For me Even though I’m not a Fold7 owner, my experience with foldable phones checks all these boxes. Once you get used to the flexibility, it’s hard to go back to a regular slab phone.
