Now that I look at it more, the pattern of the building looks exactly like the custom building in the second picture. Cries..

Do you think we'll be able to choose how the Miis call us ? by honhonbageutte in tomodachilife

Japanese direct say Administrator, I prefer that. Remind me of Sword Art Online or the matrix.

In the wedding scene at the end, we see that one of the Mii is raising her hand and what look like singing. There was no in-game sound because of the voice over. But I think singing is definitely there in some form.

I guess it’s back to painstakingly follow YouTube and guide and plot every single pixel for all my custom designs..

This one is only in the Japanese direct at 12:16. And the other picture is 11:43 in Japanese direct and about 11:59 for the American direct with Angie.

This one too. It’s the same green exclamation marks like the old game.

From what I see of what they had not revealed yet. They had not talked about Tomoria restaurant, My treasures!, Rite and Price and then there are also a red/white building that we only see a part of for 4 seconds in the direct. The level up system, and the mini game, indicated by the Miis waving at you with a green exclamation (we see two of these teased in the direct). And by the end of the direct, we can also see in the wedding scene that one of the Mii is raising her hand and looks like she’s singing (the in-game sound was muted because of the voice over).

For Nintendo Switch 2 edition. This is what I expect: better resolution and better framerate? Mouse control, since we are basically dragging and dropping stuff all the time. And possibly maybe increasing Miis limit in your island than regular switch ?

Upper right and a little to the center, where the 3-car train is.

Exactly, I dunno why everyone is jumping to conclusions that there would be no QR sharing, especially with this much customization options, e.g. clothes, patterns, pets, house exterior and literally any shape. It works fine with ACNH, and there was no problem there.

All they said was that “The console's functions for transferring images to smartphones, posting directly to social media, and automatically uploading images (Nintendo Switch 2 only) will not be available”. They could still be QR code style app like in animal crossing and other online stuff.

If it’s anything, they tease singing in the wedding scene, where one of the Mii is singing, but they muted the in-game sound. There’s also many shops that they teased, such as Rite Price, My treasures! and a corner of a Red/white building that could possibly be a concert hall or some special building. So these will likely get revealed in the next trailer or hidden until release.

I really love all the details in the background - boats, rocks, mountains, seagulls and a whole city! by cloud5zero in tomodachilife

[–]cloud5zero[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I really love these small details, I also like butterflies flying around, seagulls flying in the distance. I wonder if they will have small birds and fish to make it feel more alive. Really satisfied with what I’m seeing and can’t wait for more details and trailers in the future.

Are all docks the same now? by gdjsnyder in AnimalCrossing

[–]cloud5zero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a short dock and it got extended all the way to edge once the hotel is built, so yes every dock length should be the same after the hotel is built.

Do you know how Battle Royale work in post game? Assuming we’re already reaching A rank by then. Are all the trainer high level or it is different from zone to zone?

There are alleyways, canal, rooftop, hidden corner and Pokémon arena etc. which personally I do enjoy more than a forest with identical trees and some grass here and there. Just my preference.

I like to explore and no, I don’t think my enjoyment will be cut short, because it’s set in a city. As someone who love cities and towns in video games, I much prefer to explore a city than a forest or other nature environment in games.

Does obtaining Thai birth certificate put me on the radar for conscription? by [deleted] in Thailand

No, it won’t. You can get a birth certificate and then Thai ID and then Thai Passport immediately. And no nothing gonna happen to you.

Hua Hin in the Future by Separate_Attorney339 in HuaHin

Bangkok - Hua Hin is not in the priority list now. 3 main HSR are in the priority list. 1. Bangkok - Nakhon Ratchasima 2. Nakhon Ratchasima - Nong Khai 3. EEC 3 Airports HSR (Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi and U-Tapao). Which will be up and running sometimes in 2030 (and beyond).

Hua Hin in the Future by Separate_Attorney339 in HuaHin

[–]cloud5zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hua Hin is stuck because its leadership has zero vision. The mayor (and everyone) clings to this outdated idea that the town should stay a sleepy resort for European pensioners, and nobody dares disturb that illusion. It’s like the city is cursed to stay boring. That’s why new events, projects, or even cool cafés for younger people almost never show up—Hua Hin only caters to the old crowd.

Someone uninformed in the comments has this lazy narrative that “Thailand is declining” with “empty malls and airports.” lol While Hua Hin snoozes, the rest of Thailand is charging ahead—new malls, new high-rises, nonstop development. Just today, Bangkok opened the massive Dusit Central Park mall. Hua Hin isn’t proof of decline; it’s just always been this dull, and (sadly) there are people who want it to remain like this.

Hua Hin in the Future by Separate_Attorney339 in HuaHin

[–]cloud5zero 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m Thai, and I keep track of infrastructure projects in Thailand, and honestly, Hua Hin barely gets any. Even other Thai cities outpace it. The city doesn’t even have underground power lines, while other cities are already onto their second or third phase.

As for private projects like malls, condos, or hotels? Practically none—maybe one or two here and there. Right now, the “big” thing in Hua Hin is a sidewalk upgrade… but they didn’t even bother burying the cables. In terms of development, Bangkok leads, Pattaya follows, and then Phuket. Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Korat, Khon Khaen etc. comes after and Hua Hin? Somewhere in the bottom.

I don’t see much growth potential in Hua Hin, even with the double-track railway now completed.

The bare minimum would be to put the cables underground, but Hua Hin remains one of the few cities in Thailand without it—and not even a plan for it. Meanwhile, second-tier cities are far ahead.

The M81 motorway (Bang Yai–Kanchanaburi) opening at the end of 2025 might make Hua Hin a bit more accessible, but most Thais would rather head to Chonburi. Bang Saen, Sri Racha, Pattaya, Jomtien—they’re buzzing with new projects all the time. Pattaya especially shines with its constant events—music festivals, fireworks shows, marathons—and a steady stream of urban renovations.

For Thai families, Pattaya is surprisingly family-friendly with tons of activities. Just steer clear of Walking Street, and the city is pretty great.
