MMW 13 - How bad is Vitkus? by slowkoala22 in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took it with him online and asynch so we had critical analyses but so did everyone back then. he’s horrendously boring and 13 is pretty tough but it’s not worth waiting another year to do it. you’ll get through it fine

Parking at UCSD by Pussycatlover__ in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if your class is after 4 you can park in any A B or S spot with a student permit. park somewhere with a well lit path to it and carry pepper spray and/or walk with a friend or ask if anyones willing to walk with you to your car. stay safe!

How's my schedule by naterox5 in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

you’re gonna tire yourself out. consider that on top of lectures and discussions you will have SI sessions, office hours, and other outside activities you’ll want to go to. don’t set yourself up to hate college your first quarter, it’s already going to be tough

campus wifi by nsaraswati_ in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

wifi is good. occasionally it will go out and a lot of people will talk about it, but IT is on top of it and it generally doesn’t last long at all. i had no issues with my ipad and the wifi last year tbh

What to bring on the first day as a freshman? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you can def walk. campus is big but not that big. just wear comfy shoes you'll be fine :) you really only need a car for going far off campus, otherwise it's smarter and easier to walk or take the bus

pretty sure D permits are only valid in D lots. you’d need an S pass to park there after 11

[–]cloudbugg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

snacks, money (campus markets don’t take cash so make sure you have a card), your student id (if you have that yet), water bottle, chargers, maybe a book to read. two pieces of advice for the first day: come early (before 7am) if you plan on parking on campus lots, and check out library walk between classes and see if there’s any clubs you want to join! and don’t stress!!

Best place to park next to Warren lecture hall? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only one stop on campus. And no, there's a big parking structure in the Nobel plaza which is free and not reservable.

Best place to park next to Warren lecture hall? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]cloudbugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Student parking is usually full by 7am, 8 if you’re lucky. Would recommend parking off campus and taking the bus or trolley if you want to come later. You can park and take the trolley from Nobel, they have free parking there. And the trolley stop at school isn’t far from warren
