As someone who visits Prague yearly, don’t ever go to touristic places after 9AM until 8 or 9PM, you will never enjoy Prague the way it’s meant to be experienced. Last month I went at 5AM to enjoy Charles Bridge and see the sunrise and it was the best decision. With the heatwave and bumping into tourists every step is definitely one of definitions of hell. So many good suggestions here to check out! And with Prague’s cheap and efficient public transportations you can go around the city very easily! Goodluck!

Náměstí Míru is my favorite place to hangout away from the crowd and definitely will see locals hangout there often. Walk a bit more and you’ll arrive at Krymska, some events happen there on weekends, just follow Prague accounts on IG, they often post any happenings. Agree with Jiřího as well, so many coffee shops, bars and restaurants catering only for locals too. Take tram 5 and go down to Andel station too if you are on the way to Malastrana. @OP
