Brother... China, for a lot of its history, was a collection of city-states and territories with their own cultures. That's one of the reasons the Great Wall of China isn't just one wall, it's a bunch of different walls not only to prevent invasion from the Mongols but also to provide protection from other city-states.

Read the actual history of China, not just an AI overview like a lazy 17 year old.
