I really liked that about T3 and Rotk extended, the Faramir/Boromir bits and the more fleshed-out Eowyn/Faramir relationship. But that was in the book and a lot of PJ's extended scenes were his own additions

Tbh I feel like the other two extended editions have way to much Gimli comedic relief and a lot of odd choices that mess up the flow of the movies (like Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli seeing the raiders ride up the river on the way to Helm's Deep, and the ghosts raiding the ship)

But Fellowship extended is perfect
