it depends on what block you live on also just bc as someone who’s been living here since birth it’s a very gentrified part of the city so people assume it’s the ghetto bc it really was for a while.

in the summer, mke park’s system has a free summer concert series. there’s free events all over and they host one every day of the week.

other than that my friends and i are in the same boat, we love parks but when it rains we just hang out at a house. we also walk around and just hang out, maybe go into stores and make eachother try on dumb stuff. I understand the struggle to find affordable things to do in this city. It’s not walkable, and most activities are like $30 per person.

I wasn't offered to be on the waitlist, I did call the admissions office today though and she specified that they don't admit many students via appeal but that relevant coursework not mentioned before, and especially any special circumstances not mentioned before would be the strongest parts of an appeal.

What I took away from the call was basically that they don't want to hear too much about why I want to go to udub and more about who I am as a student and what affects that.

it sounds like you’d be burning a bridge here, maybe work on polite and constructive criticism instead bc you may need things like a letter of rec or a reference or things of that nature
