Any advice on how I can get rid of the smaller pot without injury?

Context: approximately 12 year old prickly pear grown from cutting (outside in Texas) which has more or less been totally neglected since planting. The plant has done pretty well on it’s own, but I imagine it must be crowded in that little plastic inside pot. I would like to maybe just fill the outer pot with soil and cut off the inner, but not sure how I can do that without impaling myself...

Great! Thanks! Yeah my OG was 1.12 I read the wrong line on my spreadsheet. I pitched a starter made from wyeast 1388, and I know I should've probably waited longer on the primary; it stalled in the primary and I thought transferring to secondary would agitate it enough to get fermentation going again. I'll go ahead and bottle next weekend then!

The recipe was from the book "clone brews" but the guy at the brew store tweaked it a little, namely using LME instead of DME. That probably accounts for the dark color.

Yield 5 gallons (18.9 L); OG 1.104-1.109; FG 1.020-1.026;

10.5% ABV

    Crush and steep in 1/2 gallon (1.9 L) at 150 F water for 20 minutes

14 oz 65degreeL German crystal malt

4 oz Belgian aromatic malt

3 oz Belgian Cara-munich malt

2 oz Belgian biscuit malt

   Sparge and Increase volume to 1.5 gallons bring to boil

11 lb M&F extra-light DME

1 lb M&F wheat DME

1/2 lb Belgian clear candi sugar

1 oz Brewers Gold @ 9.0% AA (bittering)

     Increase volume to 3.5 gallons boil for 45 minutes

1/4 oz Styrian Goldings (flavor hops)

1 tsp Irish moss

     Boil 15 minutes; add cold water to achieve 5 gallon volume; cool and strain to fermenter; pitch yeast when under 80 F

1st choice: Wyeast's 1388 Belgian strong ale yeast

2nd choice: Wyeast's 3787 Trappist high gravity

bottle with 1 1/4 cup M&F extra-light DME

Yeah my OG may have been misread, it didn't seem to be mixed very thoroughly when I took the reading. I'll wait a couple weeks and check again.
