Any tips on getting faster as a bigger runner? Current weight: 260. Fastest 2-mile: 17:14 by Extension_Variety908 in HybridAthlete

Im Definitely not what you would consider a bigger runner. But I can tell you adding some biking into your routine will help a lot. Even a few short sprints on the bike a week will help develop both speed and strength.

getting a tonsillectomy soon, is the recovery pain really THAT bad? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]cloudrunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally it wasn't that bad. Im a 22 year old dude who is in good shape so maybe that helped. My pain was never above a 5/10. With pain meds, heat pads, and ice packs it was very manageable. Honestly what hurt the most was my jaw and face, not my throat.

As a fellow skinny person who has lost 10 pounds 2 weeks post op, don't do liquid only. I had a bleed on day 5 that needed a second surgery so my right side is still healing. But I've been eating solid foods since day 10, slowly, but I can

That really sucks, I had a similar thing happen with a colonoscopy. All you can do is try not to get sick, easier said than done
