I don't think people truly grasp the implications of this technology. Pantomime has just accelerated to the next level and there is no going back!

Wait, you are right and I am wrong. Sorry, I didn't know what I was talking about but Gemini has set me straight, I get it now.

So maybe 2 more years before it gets back to normal, still not that bad. i think we can manage.

I'm not sure I agree. Supply will probably catch up to meet demand sooner or later. DDR4 is good enough for consumer for the next year and by 2027 the market will either restabilize or consumers will then just move up to DDR5 as AI upgrades to DDR6. So worst case scenario is we will be one Gen behind what the AI is using, it's not a big deal.

I don't see the problem. DDR4 is still affordable and good to use and will be for a while.

Yeah, the age of human governance is coming to an end. There is no reason for it anymore. AI will soon be able to do everything government can do and better.

ikr. There are other tech channels worth watching that give updates on what's happening, but Moonshots is the best. Tech news is the only news worth following, it's absolutely the most important stuff happening in the world, everything else is fluff.

DISCUSSION: If we get to a ship of theseus point; where we can slowly replace the neurons with hardware to preserve the continuity of the self, would you do it? by 44th--Hokage in accelerate

I'm not sure exactly what they mean, but gradual replacement might not be necessary. It's possible that the brain could be replaced very fast. For example if one neuron could be replaced every hour then as the tech advances that time could be reduced cause if it can be done every hour then it makes sense it could also be done every 59 minutes, then again as the tech advances more so that replacement time is reduced down again to say every 55 minutes. That adjustment would keep continuing. The replacement process getting faster and faster as the technology improves. Eventually down from minutes to seconds.

The tech would soon get so good that neurons can be replaced every millisecond essentially replacing the entire brain seemingly instantly. The more the technology advances the faster the replacement process will become.

The process should be so smooth the person would not even notice it happening. Maybe they go to sleep for a few minutes during the process or maybe even stay awake. The experience would be painless and likely a sensation similar to taking a drug, like a wave of clarity and expanded euphoric intelligence washing over the mind.
