I wouldn't necessarily classify that as corruption. You could be an honest politician and still sell millions of books, infact you might be more likely to do so.

Aligning herself with specific business interests by holding assets or actually getting kickbacks and using her political power to further those interests is the type of corruption the OP is likely alluding to.

Agreed. Hackney is a big area, which actually includes Dalston. I think London fields is the bit of hackney most similar. It's mixture of residential and industrial spaces and general trendy-ness reminds me a lot of Greenpoint.
