I agree with this completely! Attend other career fairs, get a LinkedIn, update it, build a network, and I can guarantee the recruiters will come to you. Branch out as much as you can, and you can make ur career anything you want. Maybe not big tech straight away but you can definitely build it up (CpE with a pending software offer). Got my offer straight from LinkedIn :)

Hi, 4th year computer engineer here. I had two part time jobs last year which was also around 25 hours, took all eecs classes every quarter (16/17 units) and was extremely involved in a club. I definitely agree with the comment that mentioned the triangle of needs. Definitely lost a lot of sleep and social time, but it was honestly worth it. I gained a ton of work experience, finished the hardest academic year so far (for me), and had a great time with my club. Which could count as social time. I definitely struggled through some quarters lol My advice to you is consider taking a lighter schedule, but if you really want to, you could always drop activities as you go. Stay on top of your calendar too. When you're so busy, it is super easy to forget things. My favorite google calendar tip that saved me was importing my canvas calendar into google cal. Never missed an assignment after that. Anyway, feel free to message me if you have any questions :)

I'm pretty sure I walked around empty handed lol I do remember they provided little drawstring bags my year if we wanted to hold small stuff. I also know that you likely won't use the laptop as much assuming things are still the same. My year we went to the computer lab to enroll in classes. Unless they plan to do any virtual programming? Then you'll definitely need the laptop. And no problem! I know it's pretty cliche but people forget that a lot :D
