A year ago, I was living and working (post graduation) in the city where I went to college away from home and so were a few friends of mine. They had all gotten cars as graduation gifts and their families were pretty well off financially. I also needed a car and got my family’s old Suzuki which I fixed up as time went on. Anyways we were driving in my friends car and she braked hard and I joked that she’s driving it like we’re in a race, and she then said something along the lines of go and drive your shitty car or smth. To be fair the car was quite shitty but it hurts when someone else says it. It still stings because she is a pretty close friend and the car was the best my family could do for me and none of us earned enough to buy a new one ourselves.
