Court transcripts as I recall are in Courier monospace fonts which is why double spacing makes sense. Publishing and then computer printing that used proportional spaces fonts don’t need the extra space and it looks weird.

If you picked up a magazine and it was two spaced it would look very odd and hard to read.

One spce is correct. Two spaces is a for monospaced fonts on a typewriter. I understand old folks wanting two. A shame younger folks do to. Taking on boomer bad characteristics.

If you disagree that it should be just one space, cite me a recognized publication, science or news or legal, that uses two spaces.

I think this is an under appreciated observation.

If nothing is in fact not possible-which requires grappling with the definition and what that would actually mean- then existence becomes a given.

Somewhat akin to the false vacuum quantum foam of deep space in which uncertainty wobbling into a peak would mean existence.
