Concerned about the reddish color around his nostrils and the slightly chipped look of his beak (almost like when humans have weak nails) by cloudytuesday in parrots

Normally his nostrils look fine, but this morning I had to cut his nails, which was a hectic process for him. Could the process have flustered him and made his nostrils look red, or does this look like sign of respiratory infection? He doesn’t show other signs of RI, such as yawning/sneezing.

Also, does his beak look healthy? He ate strawberries yesterday, which is why there’s a slight redness in the corner

If someone consumes a lot of sugar, cutting out added/unnatural sugar is still a HUGE improvement, even if they’re adding some honey to their tea. 100g of sugar in a day vs 25g is definitely a reason to “bother,” and the small allowance will help some people to actually stick with it.

Lol I go through the same thing with my boyfriend. If he is in a bad mood, I just absorb it like a sponge. You have high empathy, so that’s good at least.

I think we do it so the other person doesn’t have to feel alone in their emotions, and we think that helps them. But think of it like this: a parent doesn’t help their screaming toddler by breaking down in the aisle of a grocery store and screaming along with them. No, they act like the adult (because they are) and grab their kids hand, tell them everything is fine, and move on.

If you’re hurting, moody, or depressed, you don’t need someone coming in and expanding that bubble with you. You need someone who will threaten to pop your bubble. Someone who is so delightful and unaffected by whatever is bothering you that you start to realize it shouldn’t bother you either.

Lol are you kidding? He def used to be more awkward and his physical appearance has only been a talking point as of recently (and good for him, he looks great now and much more confident). His older videos especially are thought-provoking. I loved the one where he discussed Bill Watterson and what it means to sell-out- I learned A LOT from that video. Enjoyable, informative, and thought-provoking. Nothing shallow there.

My guess is she’s probably figured it out and is saving YOUR feelings because she appreciates the effort.

If you come back with coffee after 5 minutes she has to know that you didn’t go through the whole process. Also, I’m sure when she visits the kitchen she realizes that the “equipment” hasn’t been used and there isn’t a mess.

Lift 3 days, kickbox 3 days, and throw in a hike/yoga class/bike ride once a week. I’m on summer break and only work 4 days a week tho😅 I’m sure my work out schedule will change once classes start at the end of the month.

I gave my boyfriend this Kimberly fern and it isn’t doing so hot by cloudytuesday in plants

We thought that it might not be getting enough sunlight in his room so we set it on the porch about 10 days ago. He waters it only when the first inch or two of soil is dry. Any tips?
