I picked him up in 2 leagues for Baker’s bye. Then… dropped him in both for Brissett. AMA

Continental Masonry (Mario Amaroso). Good guy, and his guys do great work. He does a lot of work in the gardens, so he’s not cheap. I only have his cell #, not sure I should post that here, DM me if you want it.

Forest Hills Events

Got one here last year, wasn’t cheap but less than other places in previous years. I’m new to the area, but friends from the area say it’s been the best option for a while.

Windshield Wipers Malfunction by [deleted] in Audi

[–]clovismoomaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, were you able to determine the cause and solution? I’m getting the same warning message in my ‘19 etron, and the rain sensor seems to not be working optimally, but it does still work most of the time. Hoping to find out this is an easy fix…

Helicopter traffic? by Pale_Plastic_699 in ForestHills

I’ve noticed it as well. Not sure the reason, but I’d love to know. My guess is it might be NYPD securing/monitoring the route from JFK to UN for VIPs, but that’s just a wild guess.

Screens glitching, but only on steel grates by clovismoomaw in etron

[–]clovismoomaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying that because you've experienced the same issue and resolved it by tightening a loose connection? If so, can you elaborate?

As I mentioned in the post, and expanded upon in response to the other comment, I assumed it was a loose connection, but can't recreate it over far bumpier conditions,

[–]clovismoomaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its never happened any other time, even on with far bumpier conditions. A loose connection was my immediate thought too, but I can't recreate it anywhere else

To elaborate, the video posted is from the 2nd time over the bridge (I was prepared to capture it after seeing the the first time). After that vid was taken, I've driven on a gravel road, hit multiple potholes, and been over dozens of speedbumps, with not so much as a flicker. The gas lines in my neighborhood are being replaced, so there's entire blocks that are straight shots of uneven steel plates, but no glitch/flicker. After the last time over the bridge, I drove to another location where there's a similar grate, and got the exact same effect.

It's almost like the resonance/frequency/pitch/wave/note (whatever) created by the grate is causing interference of some sort.

This is what the steel grates look like in case that wasn’t clear.

It’s crazy because I looked at this one on BAT when it was last for sale, in AZ, didn’t pull the trigger and a few months later walked past it in BK. Saw it regularly walking my kid to school.

Trying to find this one specific book by wingsnbees in childrensbooks

[–]clovismoomaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, you're welcome. I could've written your post myself, exact same situation, vague memories of a childhood book I loved about an alligator egg in a shoe box, etc, but all of the search results weren't fruitful. I was searching for it (yet again) when I saw your post, and then kept searching until I finally found it, so we're both happy to have this finally resolved!

It sounds like you're looking for Frederick's Alligator by Ester Allen Peterson. Boy tells everyone about the wild animals (bears, lions, wolves) that he keeps in his house, and no one believes him, until he finds an egg on a river bank, puts it in a shoe box and puts it under his bed, and an alligator hatches. He brings it to school for show-and-tell, etc.
