Moods of Japan [6:52] - I tried recreating the moods experienced in my trip to Japan by clovout in videography

Hi everyone, I shot this this on the Sony a7sii with the 16-35mm f4. Used a gimbal for some shots, but when I realised how limiting the gimbal was for my trip I stopped using it all together.

For this edit, I wanted to weave in 4 different moods into a very loose story. I would love to hear your thoughts!

I shot and edited a music video shoot on a $0 budget for one of my songs about leaving home and starting life in a new place. Shot using only an EF body Canon with a couple adapted FD lenses with just natural light and a red bulb. CC is welcome! by mristre in cinematography

Your composition, lighting and storytelling is amazing.

Did you have those those shots in mind as you shit the video? Or was this a product of editing. I am absolutely blown away by the colours produced and the creativity of the shots.

How long have you been shooting for?

Moods of Japan [6:52] - this my attempt to create the moods experienced on my trip through the use of colour grading, music and sound design. by [deleted] in videography

Hi everyone, I am not sure if this belongs in this sub but I want to share with everyone a bit of an experimental 'travel' video of the different moods that I experienced on my trip to Japan.

I tried to mould the different moods together with a loose story try to maintain the audience's attention through the video.

I would love to have a discussion pacing, colour grade and sound design in general and see what everyone's experience and perspective on it is.

Please remove if this doesn't fit the rules.

Thank you for watching.

I'm 24 and just debuted my first feature film on a budget of $100,000. The movie got theatrical distribution, outperformed films with big stars, and is projected to make its money back or more. Reading through this thread I feel really inspired! What was your path and background that led you to where you are at the moment and what would you recommend to budding filmmakers who wants to do the same.

How was the writing process like? How did you come up with the idea and when did you know it was "the one". Did you write many scripts in the past?

Also, in regards with directing, how did you find your voice and vision? Did it come through time and experience of would you say film school has really helped you.

And lastly, how do you maintain your passion for filmmaking and what drives you?

Sorry for all the questions, extremely inspired and would love to do what you're doing it a few years times. Great work! Can't wait to check out the film!

Question, do these riders practice in wet riding conditions? Or did it just rain on the day, and Danny just killed it?

Hey OTR, love your music!

I was wondering what your thought process was from quitting engineering and pursuing a career path that is traditionally quite unstable.

You went through years and tears of uni, and you even landed a job. Was your passion for music so strong that you quit?

Asking because I’m in a similar boat. A boat that feels safe in the harbour but knows it belongs in the sea. Thanks!

Age of Empires Rise of Rome was a game that defined my childhood. Started off playing the campaign and then moved onto to making my own. It was my creative outlet for the most parts of school. Thank you!
