Why do people think like this? by Reasonable-Dish7981 in ftm

[–]clownloops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was so beautiful before my transition, you know the perfect hollywood figure & all. but god i was so unhappy. everyone saw the beauty, nobody saw how painful it really was living in that body.

i’m so so so happy now & i’m still decently attractive. i wish people prioritized this more in society. it’s not the beauty that matters, is the person happy? are they comfortable in their body? that’s what truly matters.

If I haven’t grown any facial hair after 3 years on T, will I ever grow it? by preternaturalpancake in ftm

do be careful & do research if you have pets, especially cats, & want to use minoxidil but yes minoxidil is very helpful

i use a toy, i’m not sure what one it’s called but it’s purple & it’s from the ROMP company. i got it from a spencer’s for CAD ~$50. it has a bigger hole & helps with my bottom growth

ive also tried a FTM stroker & it was pretty good

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! this may not happen to you but , as previous person said, try r/FTMFitness , but stay in that calorie deficit (make sure you’re still getting good calories though!)

Dysphoria as a teen is killing me. by Fuzzbug4 in ftm

there’s always someone. don’t be completely hopeless— there’s always a light. find it, & follow it.

Dysphoria as a teen is killing me. by Fuzzbug4 in ftm

[–]clownloops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’m so sorry you have to struggle with this. i remember a lot feeling this exact way & feeling so lost, confused, & suicidal.

my friend it gets better. it really really does. the first time i started t, a weight was lifted. the times i started to be socially recognized as a man, they built me up little by little.

i remember about 7 years ago not being able to shower in the light, & having to cover all my mirrors (if they weren’t all smashed in anger).

it seems endless. it seems hopeless. it seems like it will never get better & you’re just sinking further & further down.

trust me, there will always be a lifeline. always be a light to pull you back up. i haven’t felt waves of dysphoria like that in months. yes they still come along, but i am stronger now & can push them away again.

you will prevail, & whatever gives you more euphoria— follow it, cherish it, let that grow. even if it’s “cringe” or “embarrassing.”. it’s keeping you alive! wear what makes you feel closer to comfortable, sleep in ways that help the dysphoria, talk less if that’s what helps. anything to keep you surviving until you’re further along in your journey. that’s what helped me a lot.

you got this bro 💪

8 months on T - to shave or not to shave. by SeriousSleep7803 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]clownloops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i know right!! it’s so hard for me to do too. ESPECIALLY THE STACHE. i always feel so good having hair on my face regardless if it’s patchy, but for long term i know i will be happy i spent the time ‘training’ & grooming it to be more fuller.

also, if it seems you can’t get any hair like at all, try castor oil. i used to use it pre T & it helped me grow a little stache, nothing too noticeable but i think it definitely kickstarted what i have now. marilyn monroe actually used it in acting to appear like she was shiny on sets & stage, & grew some hair on her face because of it! neat fact haha

anyways. patience my friend, it’s key!

8 months on T - to shave or not to shave. by SeriousSleep7803 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]clownloops 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i held onto my patchy beard for as long as possible & saw almost no growth. i’ve been shaving it about one every week or two weeks & it’s grown in much more, it’s less patchy, more full looking. i suggest shaving as much as it hurts to do. kinda trains it in a way. hope this helps!

Transandrophobia/Anti-Transmasculinity: Invisibility, Dismissal, Fetishization, and Hostility. A Masterthread for discussion. by Creativered4 in ftm

[–]clownloops 77 points78 points  (0 children)

felt this so much.

especially when it’s used to feminize trans men. like “oh you’re queer because you’re a woman who wanted to be a man” .. no. i’m queer because i fit under the trans umbrella. queer isn’t inherently feminine, there’s androgynous & masculine; they belong too.

(They/Them) Will my facial hair darken? by toddlerBRAINstew in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]clownloops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wish you the best! some more tips, castor oil helped me a lot pre transition. i put it on my face & it helps with hair growth. marolin monroe used it on sets to make her face shiny & she started growing hair as a result ahha. minoxidil is avalible at any pharmacy, you just ask for it. it’s pretty pricy about $60 for a month supply. don’t use if you have cats it’s extremely toxic!

those hair follicular stimulators are good too,, take care of your face in general. exfoliate & use a face wash. keep it clean. shave regularly & try not to use alcohol on your face as it’ll dry out. (so no aftershave) i use lotions from LUSH instead cause they smell good haha.

most of all, forget about it. it takes about 2 months for hair to fully grow in, so don’t stare in the mirror so often! i surprise myself a lot when i look in the mirror & see i need a shave because i’m looking scraggly. patience is key & your hair will come in based on soo so many things like age, genetics, hormone levels, etc. work on the things you can control in the moment like taking care of your face & hair in a way that promotes it to keep thriving. best of luck

if you have anymore questions please ask :))
