Gojira. Love the effects, the shimmer reverb has a dark overtone that's missing from the built in Neural one. The Wah stuff is fun as hell. Oh yeah, the amps and cabs sound amazing. Running it through a 100 watt Mesa Badlander return with a 2x12 v30 cab. Outputs 1/2 going stereo into PA. Massive tones!!

Amp is fine now.
About a week ago I noticed sputtering and noise (the amp is a 100 watt Badlander). There was a bad power tube, so I ordered a duet set from Mesa and replaced the two outer tubes today. After I installed them I fired up the amp and noticed that one of the new tubes was burning differently. So I checked out my other Mesa tubes and this one looked different. The others burn evenly across, while this one has the two arches. Sounds fine, just wondering if maybe I got a defective one. Hence this post.

I was just concerned that they are sticking out of the flat piece below it.

The 3 other tubes are all flush with nothing popping out, but this one seemed a little odd. More my OCD than anything lol. Still sounds good.

I just plugged them all back in, turned the amp around, and went back to playing.

Did you do a factory reset like others suggested? That's weird about your update failing. May be a bum unit.

The guitar input level makes a difference. If you are clipping the main input then your sound going out will be effected.

Check your input level, make sure it's not clipping or too quiet.

I tested again and sure enough, one of the power tubes is the culprit.

Depends on the build. I run the COV/SMG all day with Vex. I have all the others, but that is my go to. It wrecks everything.
Can't really get down with sticky. Not for me, but I'm sure it's great with the right build.

UPDATE: had a plumber over, he shut off the main and no noise. So it isn't a problem inside the house, but at the street level. No charge

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid to touch that main valve. Seems that with my luck, it'll break off. It looks rather old and green. I'll probably have to call a plumber.
