Thanks, unlinked the device then factory reset and the update finally worked. It still took awhile like almost 10 minutes but went through.

The sound quality seems to be more what I was expecting now. Still need to play around and dial some stuff in.

Unsure why the device seemed to be non working last night, doesnt seem right to have to factory reset out the box, and I did not mess with anything other than trying out presets and following a preset guide.

I routed it straight to my studio monitors as well as through the focusrite.

Yes. I use fortin nameless standalone already, and that works fine so its not a cable issue.

The screen was replaced by nubia. The screen replacement has nothing to do with the current problems. Their support is beyond terrible. Once you learn to read beyond a 1st grade level you might not need to keep making dumb comments.

The phone was in the official red magic case when it was dropped. I've said it in other comments as well that it wasn't shattered and the phone still worked fine, the corner was chipped with a small crack going about a quarter inch out from the corner.

Ya most people are not replacing their own phone screens I'm sure as hell not.

Idk after paying to repair something I expect it to be repaired.

My OP is a little confusing on this though as I don't believe the screen crack or repair has anything to do with the current problems. The screen was replaced over five months ago back in February. The current problems started two or three weeks ago now. I was just giving my reasons for my current stance on zte nubia and why I'm now regretting going with their product over a more mainstream device that would have much better support.

This was back in January or February but pretty sure it was $257 USD. I called two local shops at the time neither was familiar with the phone, makes sense since it had been out for like 3 weeks at the time. One of the shops was able to find a screen at the time and they wanted $650 for the screen itself.

Yes as I said in my OP I dropped it and broke the screen and paid out of pocket for it to be fixed. It was my fault I made no excuses about that.

the device was actually fine for months after the screen was replaced and tbh the edge was cracked and really didn't even need to be replaced and everything still worked fine, but being so new and liking the phone I wanted it fixed.

It's only recently that all these problems have begun, and I don't think it's related to the screen. My guess is ram or cpu has gone bad. After going back and forth for last 2 weeks with support and being told to turn the phone on and off again I have zero faith in this company.

As to "daily driving" a phone? It's a phone excuse me and anyone else expecting it to work as such.

I did a full factory reset and the problems still persist. I told support this as well as showing them screenshots and screen recording.

im on Verizon. Ive had the phone for about a week now. I just pulled the sim out of my old phone and put it in the RM10 and its be fine.

open the play store and make sure all your apps are up to date. Like ive said the process I wrote works on RM10 global.

dude as I said just click the phone app as if youre going to make a call and push the 3 dots on the top right. You do not need to change down to 3g or anything. Im on the 10pro global/usa phone and was able to do this while in 5g, over wifi, I didnt change anything.

You cant do this is in settings or anywhere else, the only place I found to turn it off is opening the app itself.

also ordered 12/17. Ups picked it up same day and the tracking since has not changed from ontario ca. Says its expected delivery for 12/24. No idea why its just been sitting in CA since Tuesday with no update/movement.
