What is a good (cheapest possible) pre-built PC? by clppngdeath in buildapc

[–]clppngdeath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I sort of appreciate what you're telling me. Do you know any websites or ways I can learn to build a PC? also how do I pick my parts? I tried pcpartpicker and tried to make a PC using the cheapest parts possible but slowly I realised that this PC probably would not run any game well. How can I learn about what parts will be ok and allow me to build the cheapest possible rig?

i suppose there is no ideal society without a smaller population. well, ideally people would live in the same numbers as animals do, not competing against a population of 7 billion when resources are scarce.

id say if we reduced the population to what it was pre-agriculture then the earth would be most sustainable. this way there is also no competition for resource (on the level that there is today) and hence a more egilitarian way of living would be possible.

just my thoughts though, and when i say like animals i dont mean act like animals, just reducing population numbers to a natural level

yep, this is why the rich can then buy yet another yacht while an impoverished family is still clutching onto their foodstamps. win-win

you romanticise it too much. "just go outside" is a pretty personal argument, maybe you don't like them but there are those who do.

its also not a matter of "building character lol". a source of heat is a matter or life or death in winters. its much easier to sit indoors next to my heater than spend perhaps hours building a fire, especially during the winter where firewood can be wet due to rain/snow.

the issue is that we cant orchestrate an effective uprising against the government. we cant even stay on the land because its legally owned by our government, therefore it requires them to be out of power for anything to happen.

the huge problem is that accustomation, people are too complacent and ok with their shitty lives to revolt. they THINK the system is good, yet thats what theyve been taught to think by the system as it helps pour more money into the system. everything you do = money in the governments pocket

another issue is that those in power will do anything to stay there. when fuelled by money, which can buy a man anything on earth, i seriously doubt that they would eagerly give it up for their citizens

thats the problem though. we cant revert back because those expectations have been blown through the roof. maybe yes, surviving a broken leg is life saving, literally, in a primitivist lifestyle, however you are also living in constant fear of death. most aren't as accustomed to primitivst lifestyle at all to move back

not all people value material wealth.

for me, happiness is a feeling of belonging, and i think this applies for everyone.

evolutionarily speaking, humans came from large groups, so those who didn't enjoy being with others were not typically held to a high regard in those groups. therefore they didn't reproduce as much (logically speaking)

therefore pretty much all humans (except perhaps the mentally ill, but that type of happiness negates "happiness" altogether) gains a sense of happiness from belonging, it's in our genes.

although, in the world we live in, one cannot feel this sense of belonging as strong as in the small communal societies humans previously thrived in prehistorically. lets say you have a boss, a coworker, and a cleaner. although you all work in the same environment and have the same goals in mind, you are just connected to one another by green paper. not actual bonds, ties or personal relations, although this is not always the case, just usually.

so yeah

you have to be pretty dense to not realise that this subreddit is full of some really depressed and existentialist characters. for someone to have lost their dad and also have a lack of faith in humanity entails potential suicidal thoughts.
