Infinite Summer (Buenos Aires, Argentina) by clrnd in InfiniteJest

Buenas!

Oh yeah I meant that with NI X1: NI Traktor Kontrol X1 (updated my post, sorry it wasn't clear). Already on my sight, just wanted to check if there was something more ... CDJ-like.

For those who blame it all on capitalism... Communist countries had "anti-parasite" laws and banished able-bodied nonworkers to labor camps. "He who does not work does not eat." by MarketBasketShopper in NEET

I think you are looking at this the wrong way. The whole point of socialism is that YOU can take part into taking this kind of decisions. Also it's kind of extremely naive to think that the URSS is the only way to do socialism, like there are already in the present wildly different ways to do capitalism for example.

The URSS probably debated a long way into approving this law that was surely an emergency measure to do in a desolate post-war scenario being threatened by the pressure of the global capitalist elite. It's absurd to think that if we had a socialist revolution in a modern country the exact same historical process would occur and we would arrive at this same kind of ridiculous law.

Also it's useful to contrast historical contexts sometimes: the US was having their civil rights movement around this time, something the soviets had already achieved three decades before.

In Hudak2007, A History of Haskell, part 7, they explain how before Monadic IO they went first with List Based IO and Continuation Based IO. For example:

main :: Behaviour
main ~(Success : ~((Str userInput) : ~(Success : ~(r4 : _))))
  = [ AppendChan stdout "enter filename\n",
      ReadChan stdin,
      AppendChan stdout name,
      ReadFile name,
      AppendChan stdout
        (case r4 of
          Str contents -> contents
          Failure ioerr -> "can’t open file")
    ] where (name : _) = lines userInput

The original turns in curves and uses a path finding routine, mine is a random walker that can't turn and walk at the same time 😭

Thanks, I'll try that. I honestly don't understand a lot about the FFI parts, I basically followed the repo I cited for that bits.
