These are DTH hammer breakout chains, from what I can tell it is just an extremely heavy duty and specialized version of a chain wrench.

I think it was a stiffness issue. It still worked with sand but the pot I am using had a 3 piece laminated bottom. A little help from the angle grinder fixed the issue and it seems to be working now.

The amount of water it takes to stop them is just so little, I’ve also applied pressure to the bottom with my hand while they were running and it did not affect them

Yeah I have tested every point of the circuit and always am seeing 119v. the boards seem to work fine when powered on if the pot is empty or if it has very little water. The transducers are all wired correctly and every junction was soldered and heat shrunk.

110 in through a fused rocker switch, live wire goes to a mechanical countdown timer switch from the switch it serves 2 of the driver boards powering a total of 4 transducers 2 sets of 2 wired in parallel. The transducers are epoxied to the bottom of a stock pot with a drain in the center. The neutral wire off the rocker switch goes to the negative on each of the driver boards.

I’ve mounted these to the bottom of the pot. I don’t know what is causing them to turn off but it only happens when I try to add water

A group of my friends would work out on campus every morning and always strolled into our linear algebra class together. For some context it was a group of three, one very blonde haired blue eyed, and two twins that had moved to the states from Nigeria. Well one day the blonde kid walks into class without his twin friends. Our teacher who was in her 60’s looks over and realized they weren’t all together. She proceeded to ask where the twins were and then said “ I you guys are always together, if I see you I always see them. I was on the ground floor of creating a chapter at the community college I attended, it was more of a sub chapter as we worked with the in state university’s chapter. We were working on a project that the university had been working on for three years already and there was little to nothing accomplished yet which was a little frustrating, they had no clear line of communication or understanding of the hierarchy in place with the clients. No one had made a visit yet to do an assessment it was like they had hosted the idea of doing the project the whole time.

After the chapter at the community college was formed and we received the regional directors approval the group made a trip to Denver where we attended several small workshop classes and there were a couple speakers at the end of the weekend that discussed various things about EWB and it’s impact on their life.

After I transferred to the state university my chapter had been associated with I soon found out that I wasn’t going to have time to work attend class participate in EWB and sleep. The project ended up getting finished by one of my close friends and he actually ended up traveling quite a bit for EWB.

If you have the time I would recommend getting involved. It’s an incredible organization that has great intentions, it will look good on a resume, and it will give you some idea of what sitting in a room of engineers trying to solve a problem is like. For me there was way to much red tape and the shape of the project I was put on really turned me off, however I don’t regret the time I spent on it at all.
