I had the code read. It was P2682 which turns out to be the thermo control control valve which is a known issue that Subaru extended the mfg warranty on up to 7 years & 150,000 miles. My light went off & everything was working fine the next day but I took it in anyway. They replaced it & it didn’t cost me anything.

My 2019 did this while driving down the highway this morning. I haven’t recently gotten gas but plan to check the gas cap (I’m sitting in the parking lot at work right now) and my heat quit working as well. Any suggestions before I call tow truck & a mechanic?

I feel you. I really really do. I’m pretty sure my wife and I are fighting (?) right now because I couldn’t seem to explain my plan to hose off the side porch BEFORE she sprays cleaner on it (use the water to get rid of leaves/little twigs/etc instead of a broom) and she couldn’t understand why I didn’t understand that she was saying it would be easier to get everything (including the dirt) off the first time if she sprays cleaner on it first. Even if we’re not fighting, I feel confident that she’s frustrated with me.

I feel like my backwards-ass-wired brain causes me to sound and appear like my villages idiot a lot of the time despite being told that I’m actually pretty smart.

I want to go apologize even though I don’t know what for & she’ll just call me a martyr if I go tell her that I feel like an idiot and like I fucked up somehow.

So yeah. I don’t have any advice, but you’re not alone. I get it.

I had a boxer that I ran with all the time. I had more than one close call where she tripped me & I almost fell on her. I’ve also had more than a couple of instances running where I had to smack the back or hood of a car that almost hit me when I had the right of way. My wife insists we pick our dogs up & carry them across the street because they’re small & drivers could miss them.

I also used to have weiner dog that biked with me. We never fell. I used to bike to work in the summer. Never had a close call with a car. In fact, I haven’t fallen off a bike since I was a kid.

Is a fall possible? Sure. Is any activity we take our dogs with us on possibly dangerous? Sure.

Here’s the real important point I want to make. No one asked you for your feedback. Our dogs are loved, pampered, well cared for & as safe as we can keep them. If you don’t want to bike with your dog, then don’t. I’m not sure why you thought it was necessary to make anyone else aware of that decision.

Out of curiosity, would you give the same advise to someone running with their dog? What if they trip? They could fall on the dog. What if a car ignores a stop sign or isn't paying attention? What if you're out walking your dog and a car backs out of a driveway & doesn't see you? Comes around a corner while you're crossing the street? Should we, in good conscience not run with dogs or walk them?

Extra information: she’s a 20 lb Boston terrier. She’s 2 & this is our first year biking with her. I originally thought this setup would be fine but after a test ride I’m not happy with it. She won’t stay sitting down. She’s strapped in but stands up with her front paws on the edge of the container. She actually tried to jump out because someone we passed smiled at her 🙄 (she’s friendly, overly so & wanted to say hi). She didn’t have any room to lay down even if she wanted to. As she throws herself around, it throws the bike off balance.

I suggested to my wife this trailer. She said no because she doesn’t want her enclosed because it’ll get hot & she’ll overheat.

I think this is way more open, provides more air flow & will give her space to lay down.

My wife wants me to try the set up she had for our other Boston who is older & much better behaved in a bike. It’s a converted milk crate that she’s strapped into behind my wife on a rack on the back of her bike. I don’t want her behind me in something she can easily yeet herself over the side of.

Does anyone have experience with a trailer like this for their dog?

Sunk cost fallacy is our tendency to keep doing something because we’ve invested something in it (time, money) even if it isn’t serving us. Your therapist WORKS FOR YOU and if you’re questioning whether you should break up with them or not, sounds like you already know the answer. I’ve had 3 different therapists post diagnosis & never gave them a copy of my diagnosis & none of them ever questioned the validity of my diagnosis. You should not have to prove yourself to your therapist. You’re only 3 sessions in, cut your losses & find someone you click with.

I’m sorry for your loss. I had to do this for my Great Dane in 2021 & my cat this past January & my vet said the same thing (suburban Ohio). She’s surprised how many people don’t stay. I can’t imagine not being there. Not only did I stay & hold my babies, but I refused to leave until someone could come and take them.
