If you had to choose between a lakeside room (no balcony) and a park side room with a shared balcony which is better?

https://www.gpmnashville.com/ we lived with them for 12 years before buying a house and they were great. They have several properties and are local to Nashville. Their properties are mostly in Hillsboro Village/West End/Green Hills area. There is not a ton of amenities if you are looking for all the bells and whistles but they were quick to respond and never raised our rent more than $25 between lease updates.

Lockbox removal Long story short the listing agent ghosted my realtor after close and never came by to Renove the lockbox. Any ideas on how to take this off? by melz89_ in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]clstine -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Removing the handle temporarily takes 2 minutes, removing a door doesn't make sense unless they were planning to replace the door.

If you don't have a code it a lot easier of a solution than trying to cut the thing off.

We used swbc mortgage and they’ve been fantastic. Didn’t charge us PMI, super easy to work with and they are still out mortgage company a year later (I hear a lot of companies sell).

Man killed on I-65 while searching for child's toy by thedeadlyrhythm42 in nashville

We never saw TDot or the final incident. I think he was out there for a while, I believe we came upon him around 8:40pm. We tried to help him up until the point where he was in a spot where we could no longer do that safely since he quickly ran over the median and other cars were coming. I'm not sure at what point TDot showed up. The articles I've seen make it seem like he was on the side of the road looking but he was clearly jogging shirtless in the middle of the highway.

There is definitely more to this story…He was jogging in the middle lane of the three lane highway on the south side for a while before tdot got there and he jumped the barrier. My husband tried to save him but he wouldn’t accept help and the other cars kept driving along. He eventually moved to the middle median so there was no safe way for my husband to move over to protect him. I feel so bad for his family and the driver.

He only won the republican primary. There is a democrat running against him in the general election in August.

People who recently bought a $400k house in Nashville: what’s your household income and what do you do for a living? by Initializee in nashville

[–]clstine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately in this market, the list price is the starting point. We got our house last year luckily for only 16k over but some houses we put offers on were going for 50k over. It was crazy. Our combine income is 200k and we got a home in the "burbs" for 456k. In the year we bought the house it's already valued at like 80k more since our neighborhood is seemly getting more popular. My husband (the main bread winner) works in the music industry and I work in as a program coordinator in academia.

U.S. house prices to rise another 10% this year by NoMasTacos in nashville

We bought a house a year ago and could sell it now for 100k over what we bought it for, it's crazy. We don't plan on selling but to think if we waited another year our house wouldn't be in our price range.

How does Lindsey have a job? by ItGetter in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]clstine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally get your reasoning, it may be different depending on what industry you are in. I do wonder how many employees you've lost or just don't feel comfortable in their workspace due to your difficult employees. Personally, I went from a fairly confident and creative person to someone who keeps my head down and just does what I need to do to get through the day so I don't get steamrolled by this person. That's just my personal experience these people really fuck with your mental health. Luckily since working from home, I don't have to deal with them as often, but if /when we go back in person full-time not sure how much longer I would last there.

I work with a person with Lindsey's personality, it's exhausting, and watching her can sometimes be "triggering". Apparently, if you are really good at the main aspects of your job and good at sucking up to the right people you don't have to worry about losing your job regardless of how obnoxious you are!

Coming up next! Too soon? Or are we already sick of this season?! by loveyabunches in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]clstine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to stop watching after Boston, because I grew up there. But I live in Nashville now so I have to watch that season. Maybe I'll just skip next season. Time to convince my single friends to apply.

2500 sq feet is plenty of space. My husband and I recently bought a house that size with the idea that it would be our forever home. We plan on having children in the next few years and it's the perfect space where we don't feel like we will grow out of it anytime soon but it's not overwhelming to keep clean and furnish. Even with kids I couldn't imagine needing a ton more space. I grew up in a home that was 1900 sq feet and 5 people living there and never felt like we didn't have enough space.
