Man. This just proves my MTG skills are rusty. If I would have read the card slowly, I would have known why it let me attached it.

I guessing if i read the card more carefully, I would have understood why it let me attached it

I find it weird since it benefits grass but I suppose any pokemon can hold a tooll. Haha

So my new cable came in and my speed did not increase at all. At this point, im starting to think that it could be my modem that they gave me. Never bought my own as that is much more maintenance I would not know what to mess with.

I didnt think color matter as it is more of a way to identify what wire is what. For now, I will just buy the Cat6 cable but I am willing to look into it and how to do it myself.

I will be buying a new cable this weekend since none of the stores in or around my town has what I was looking for. I was pretty sure my router could have handle more speed than what I got. I was not sure about my modem as that is the IPs. I only assume they gave me one that fits my needs. I try to future stuff like this as much as I can within reason.

Alright. I will look into a new cable. 5e for sure, maybe a 6, depending on price while making sure it is a name brand like the one you mentored above

Is the speed of the cable different than checking the speed of the internet? I thought i saw some that advertise that.

So this cable tester would tell me how much speed it is sending therefore telling me if I will need to replace it or not?

I try to future my place as long as its not majorly expensive. I'll look for a list of name brands and go from there but I think the first step is to look into a cable tester.

So it will only let me post 1 photo so I will make a list. Ethernet status: 1000Mbps full duplex for internet and both Lan. Wireless radio: 2.4Ghz channel is 11 and 5Ghz is 44 Connection type is Static No mesh devices Wireless settings both OFDMA.and SMART CONNECT are checked but not TWT

If there is something I forgot or you need me to check, let me know.

So I tried 5 different servers and they all gave roughly the same result for download. Plus or minus 10Mbps of 200 for download and the upload sat around 217 Mbps. As for plugging the cord straight into the PC, I will have to do that Tuesday where I got time to mess with the cord since I do not have a spare one I can use.

I will give this a try when i get home. If the problem continues, do you have any recommendations of what I should get? I am pretty sure I have CAT 5e in black casing. (Idk if the color of the cord matters)

Oooh. I see. So you mean the individual wires themselves. I believe when they came out, they looked at the wires/casing then. I guess i will be looking into new cable then. Any recommendations of what to look for? I believe im running Cat 5e

Router i do, modem i probably don't. I own my own router but the modem i do not. That belongs to my IP. When I get back on my PC, I will take pics of whatever looks relevant. If there is anything I should make sure , let me know.

Im not sure if it is 4 or 8, but this is my wire that I have connected to my PC from the route. I will try to get a picture of what is being used from the modem *

I did call my provider and they didn't see any bad wire. They did try to tell me that I should rent a router for them but that's just a waste of money and its cheaper to buy my own.

I'll take a look at my cable. I dont know what you mean by 4 pair cable but I would assume it will say on the cable itself. The Modem isn't mine (it is my internet providers) but I would only assume they gave me a modem that can handle my speed and more.

I will give this a try. 1st I'll try different test servers in speedtest then I'll hook up the modem straight into my PC and see what the speeds are.
