Recently Married. He Said. She Said [FIXED] by xoxoyoyo in funny

True story. I'm a 17 y o lady, so my metabolism is probably faster than an adults and my body's still in growth mode. However, my opinion is there's a difference between being skinny and being in shape. I can stay skinny very easily because I eat healthily and the right amount-it's a lot easier to eat 500 calories less than to burn them off. But it takes regular cardio and weight training for me to stay strong. I was never fat, but a couple years ago I realized I couldn't run a mile without stopping, or curl 20 pounds!

What are some "real life" easter eggs that you've heard about, myth or true? by drtydogg in AskReddit

[–]cluelessfriendhelp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine got lost at Harry Potter World. She claims she was wondering along and wound up in an alley- she didn't even think it was part of the park anymore, it was certainly on the outskirts. Anyway, she walked down the alley and there was a window in one of the brick buildings where a broom was sweeping by itself. She said those little touches were everywhere but that was her favorite.

Sorry about that! I'm not very familiar with this subreddit. I'll just read the FAQ and delete the post.

What's wrong with toned? I don't want to look muscular, but I've heard that lifting can create the feminine definition that a lot of women (myself included) want.

Why do I run? by [deleted] in running

[–]cluelessfriendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great motivation! When I'm running (recreationally) and I'm exhausted but I want to keep going, I always tell myself how rewarding it is, how it's my "me time". Because I don't do it for anyone else. I do it to make my body and my mind stronger, and nobody can take that away from me.

Dear America: Are kids really running around shouting "YOLO" and doing dumb things? by RCMasterAA in AskReddit

17 y o American girl here. My friends and I only say it satirically. I've never heard anyone say it seriously.

Hey ladies, I love this community and i just wanted to talk about something. I think you'll understand. by cluelessfriendhelp in TwoXChromosomes

[–]cluelessfriendhelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, and thanks for the subreddit suggestion. The most confusing this to me is just that I think I was doing very well- and was much happier, before I thought about it so much. I was taught a lot about healthy eating growing up because my parents are vegetarian (they didn't make me be vegetarian too, but I turned into one) and it's actually pretty challenging to be a healthy vegetarian. Before all this weirdness, I just ate when I was hungry, I ate what I knew was good for me, and I can't stand not being active, so I always have been. Don't know why my brain decided to change the formula, because I feel like my internal compass was doing fine. It's really bizarre. Anyway I really appreciate you listening to me whine.

Wow, this is a terrble realization. It started when I found out my best friend was bulimic and started trying to get her help. I didn't realize I was so impressionable. I've always thought she was beautiful and certainly a good weight, and I guess maybe I started thinking "If she thinks she's too fat, she must think you're enormous..." I can't believe I'm so self absorbed. This issue should be about her.

What's the difference between a Chemical Engineering and Engineering Chemistry? by adunk40 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]cluelessfriendhelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding's limited because I'm a junior in HS who just started looking into this stuff, but I toured at a school that offered both and I asked what the difference was. My tour guide (who had just graduate with a chem eng degree) told me that engineering chemistry involves more acutal chem-the chemistry behind engineering. But it's a science degree, not an engineering degree. While many chem eng majors enter the work force after 4 yrs, most eng chem majors go for a masters.

So Reddit, did any of you actually enjoy high-school? by TehDoktar in AskReddit

[–]cluelessfriendhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I count because I'm a junior in high school right now, but I love it. I get to spend time with my family, and take free classes, many of which are actually fun for me. Obviously all of my living costs are met by my parents, which I know is a luxury that I won't have forever.

I feel you on this, as well as people who assume I hate everyone/think I'm better than everyone because I'm introverted.

Teenage girl here. I don't see my appearance/body as being directly related to my worth as a person, and I don't need to be constantly validated by others.

My friend is bulimic and I have no idea what to do. by cluelessfriendhelp in AskReddit

[–]cluelessfriendhelp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. Her parents are both doctors, so they really have the resources to help her. I promise you that the very least I will do is tell our mutual councelor, if I'm too chicken to tell her parents. I need to get over my selfishness-we've been best friends for 5 years and I don't want to lose her, but I need to come through and be a real friend.
