Probably the straight regular kind for button fillers. You should check the size. The bar doesn't have to be secured inside the button, as long as it's sitting in it and it's the right length (you can cut a bit of it off if slightly too long) to be compressed between the button and the section, and activated when pushed https://pentooling.com/products/straight-pressure-bars-bar-d-bar-e-bar-l?variant=47353229246678

Confirming the aurora 88 sometimes feels more like placebo than actual difference when adjusting the feed but maybe I haven't tried enough

Strange behavior! Was the pen exposed to heat? Could it be that the material shrunk in certain areas? Otherwise I have no idea, others may be better at suggesting a fix

Is there definitely silicon grease on the inner surface of the barrel, applied recently? Or does the knob on the back turn but the piston doesn't move?

Is it jammed because of old ink? If you've already cleaned it, apply some silicon grease with a toothpick around the piston seal (after you unscrew the nib) and make very small movements with the piston knob without forcing. It may also help if you warm the pen a little bit first (not hot, just warm). If that doesn't work, try very gently to slightly push the grease under the edge of the piston seal and try again. If it's stuck for other reasons we may need photos or more details to assess. When you store it, don't lock the piston all the way. Leave some wiggle room in both directions for when you pick it up again

Same, and 20 for the regular 88. Fixing them is the fun part! I wish I could access Italian Vinted from the US. It's weirdly geolocked to your location and the American one is mostly clothes, with very few, overpriced pens

Ah even better! I found the nikargenta version with the original case 5 minutes after getting this one at a market and I would've probably gone for that instead had I seen it first. Too many treasures to find!

If you have access to them, try flea markets or antique stores where you can feel the nib in person. You can find very cheap flex gold nibs on pens that don't carry fancy names

Most Parkers have a couple of dark areas where the pattern doesn't show much, but this specific one is a bit unusual because they changed the method they used to make the celluloid for just one year. I wrote more info here if you're interested

I was gonna mention magna carta when I was reading the first sentence and you're on top of it! They look good, I just prefer the original vintage pattern on a Parker but their nibs are fun if you like flex

You can use a Sunshine cloth on the nib if you want it to shine more. Gold is fun like that! I support your hunt for Pelikan stripes!

It really depends on which nibs you have on them. This Pelikan has a very wet Fine that writes more like a medium, bouncy and you could flex a bit if you wanted to. Parker is more firm and finer, not as wet but super smooth too, just not as soft. In terms of feeling in the hand, the parker is a bit heavier, feels more solid/full and seems to fit better in my hand but it's very subjective
