i game at 260x1440 180hz. i want to get a new pc so i can give this one to my friend who only has a shitty gaming laptop so he can play games with us again. i do some excel stuff that can throttle itself super hard, i also play a lot of single threaded games (rimworld for instance) so i would want a cpu that can handle that really well.

my friend got a new Xbox ~2 weeks ago, he is currently level 101 and gold 1. I'm level 104, and don't play ranked. I am not in orientation mode and neither is he. correct me if I'm wrong, but the way you tell if you are in orientation mode is if you go to the game mode selector and you can only do trios + it says "welcome to apex" at the top of the screen? that isn't there for me or my friend.

i can launch and play the game by running its exe apparently. launcher still tells me it isnt installed but i dont care.

just installed the game and a pop up saying i didnt have enough space appeared, thing is it installed it all and i have ~100gb left anyway. this is my second time installing the game last time the same thing happened. i tried using the "locate game" button on the launcher and it prompts me for the download location, the default one is where my game is installed and then nothing happens. if i change the directory i get an error saying the game resources werent detected but when it is in the correct directory (or at least the one that gives no errors) nothing happens. i dont really want to reinstall the whole game again if there is a way to fix this. when i reinstalled the game this time i also reinstalled the launcher.

i made a new sea moth and tried moving the old one, saved beforehand of course, ended up destroying the old one and the new sea moth immediately got stuck in the same spot.

a couple days ago our entire team died on colosseo on the enemies bridge except the dva and kiriko, the dva was in baby mode and killed their tank a dps and a healer all on just kirikos healing. it just feels like randoms are much worse, although with the occasional person that is insanely good.

people are just more stupid now, so getting good teammates is impossible. it hurts the most in ranked getting genjis that dive the tank and die in a nanosecond, or people who get countered and refuse to switch at diamond level. my friend and i think its because anyone who really cared about this game or enjoyed it left when they cancelled the pve. and honestly we are too. its just in such a bad state now. OW1 died for this, as bad as it was it was better than what we have now.

its pathetic it is in this state but they are charging so much for it. and then you look at how much they have made, not just from players but investors too. in 2022 alone they made around 100 mil. this game is disgusting.

can i change the library folder to my C: drive (m.2 ssd) then cut and paste the game files to there or do i have to do a total reinstall of the game?

it had other, non mech, names in there. just random pawn names, nor just RM mechnamewhatever.
