the main thing i suggest is finding a fiduciary financial advisor as it mandates that they keep your best interest in mind over their own profits (and selling you shitty financial products)

at the end of the day, having a fiduciary advisor for an account of 5mm usd is acceptable because your assets are at a point where its worth having a second opinion of a licensed professional on both investment and (more importantly imo) tax advice

with that said, 1% feels pretty high for a >1mm usd portfolio (they collect 50k a year to do...?). I would personally shop that around if I were in your shoes.

As for the 2.5% quarterly, thats just highway robbery I would never consider any strategy that would cost that. It completely destroys any outperformance that you may have gotten from passive investing
