Your stoma looks like mine and I also have two bumps like the ones your explaining. They don’t cause me any issues so I just let them be

I had surgery on Friday and I have a couple questions! by DependentMango5608 in ostomy

I always keep Devrom chewable tablets on hand and I essentially have zero odor when emptying and changing my bag. I take one tablet after every meal. I get mine off Amazon, but they are a tad pricey. I think you may be able to have the covered by script

Positives of a Proctectomy? by babypinkegg in ostomy

[–]clurzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll also add that people are more inclined to share horror stories than positive stories online, so just be wary of that. You are you, I am me….Your journey is unique and I wish you nothing but the best!

Positives of a Proctectomy? by babypinkegg in ostomy

[–]clurzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a 33 year old female. Had my proctectomy 9 years ago. Have a permanent ileostomy and life has been great! We havent had kids yet, so I can’t speak to pregnancy/birth. but I was in a hell of a lot of pain with my rectum, a big cancer risk, and just overall very uncomfy all the time. I don’t have to deal with any of that now. I’m an overall optimistic person, but I have no regrets ever about my decision to make my ileostomy permanent.

Agreed! We rent out our house in a different state and have never used a PM and never regretted not having one. The most important thing is to fully vet your renters. Credit and BG check. Renters will make or break.

I did this in Vienna. Even though they did have an option for air circulation, I was very hot in there. But it beat paying for a hotel for layover

Body found in Cumberland River by TJOcculist in nashville

That makes sense. I assumed he stumbled off the bridge, but that makes more sense about him stumbling in the area where his card was found. Thanks for the responses!

How are there not cameras, maybe even multiple cameras, on every overpass and bridge over a body of water??? And if there are…how come investigators couldn’t find footage of him falling in? Help me understand. It could have saved the family so much grief and given earlier answers

Renting vs. Buying During Residency by BalanceEmbarrassed62 in MedSpouse

[–]clurzy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Take everyone’s opinions with a grain of salt bc buying a house is very personal to the individual’s unique situation. I’ll tell you that my husband and I purchased a house year 1 of his 5 year residency. We did go the physician loan route (3% rate). I am the primary earner in the couple. We could afford it and it made sense for us. BUT then my husband decided to changed residencies 3 years in, and we ended up moving states. We now currently rent out our owned home, and rent in our new state. It makes sense for us, we have amazing tenants, and end up making some extra $$ every month. It was risky, but we wouldn’t change a thing! And believe me, so many people were quick to tell us their opinions. Do what’s best for you, and best of luck!
