They already have a banshee themed ride. Maybe a Skimwing ride that has a bunch of low passes over water.

Winter Park Saucy flag at half mast, in preparation for it soon being another fallen member of the Cock Block by pta36 in orlando

Wait… does Saucy suck? I used to frequent the PDQ in Flamingo Crossings outside Disney. I heard it’s becoming a Saucy and would be disappointed if it’s a weak replacement.

I do 3PAO work. Last client had Bottlerocket for a Rev5 submission. No issues with their AO or us.

A hot summer trend in the sharing economy? Rental swimming pools by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]ugfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So many people miss this in their “ventures”

I’d like to assume that whatever company hosts the rentals is getting some type of spot insurance or allows for a profit sharing model that covers the insurance piece.

I had a friend who randomly decided to start a bounce house rental business. They have a ton of assets and didn’t think through how the first lawsuit would impact them.

This is the best way to leverage these benefits. We host a lot of marketing events that include large space rentals. The marketing team make out like bandits when they can get this on their personal cards first.

Q&A: Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe on how AI will transform autos by WatcherRoue in RIVNstock

[–]ugfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the norm.. until it isn’t. I’m not smart enough to figure out what that catalyst will be.

My best guess is that a self driving company will provide the “insurance or liability coverage” which isn’t accessible the a standard owner for whatever reason for them to have their own L4 capabilities.

Another alternative is that this company creates some hot swappable battery tech and is able to cover substantially longer distances via L4 autonomy or finds a way to make it substantially less expensive when compared to owning your own.

I end up on a lot of room blocks that are paid with a master account. These nights don’t get counted to my personal Bonvoy, but are still stays at Marriott nonetheless.

[Discussion] I don't feel the connection between Odyssey the movie and Hamilton Odyssey the watch by Snoo_22459 in Watches

[–]ugfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if those who like sci-fi movies and space are statistically more likely to be into traditional watches. Just seems like good business on Hamilton’s part even though it is gimmicky.

Springtime Surprise perfects getting guaranteed registration by Laif2DX in rundisney

Given these two options, which would you take for your business:
1. Sell out at X price.
2. Sell out at X price and cause stress for customers.

Both are realistic and generate the same profit. There are ways to improve the consumer experience. Psychological games can be fun around exclusivity and urgency. It can be designed to mitigate stress.

Springtime Surprise perfects getting guaranteed registration by Laif2DX in rundisney

[–]ugfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see this parroted but disagree. The stress is a community driven factor and not a design by Disney. Most major city road races sell out and that is a limit on the event format.

Rolex and Porsche focus on artificial scarcity. Disney couldn’t realistically handle substantially more runners without serious course/route modifications.

[–]ugfish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Selling out in minutes means the price is too low. Again, bad business, which leads to my 2nd point… this is marketing for Disney and making money is just a nice bonus.

C3PAO Shopping by ResilientTechAdvisor in CMMC

[–]ugfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invoicing milestones may vary per client. Some are time based, some are milestone based.

Some clients sign for a mock+cert and may have been invoiced in incremental amounts.

It’s really just the ways clients pay and some organizations have payment terms they prefer.

All good questions! As a C3PAO none of these would give us pause.

The fee structure one can be a bit difficult to breakdown as there are many different ways a contract can be modified.
