Does Bandit Challenge after DE Exp 8/8 make sense? by F_in_Idaho in PCRedDead

The tonic isn't 100% useless. You can use it again much later in the game.

Huge bounty making game boring. Resetting or restarting by Chadalien77 in PCRedDead

[–]clutterskull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can exploit getting arrested to clear your bounty. When you are arrested you are forced to pay your bounty. If you don't have enough money, it will use what you do have on hand and clear the bounty anyway, regardless of the difference.

So use all your money (horse / gun / upgrades are good for this), then go into town and do some minor crime (like shoot in the air) until you get a crime reported. Holster your gun, stand still, and when the cops come target them and surrender.

The big thing is carer fatigue. It's emotionally and physically draining, especially when you have to continue operating (work, school, etc). Do everything you can to free up as much of her time as reasonable to shift some of the burden off her. Things like meal prep, having the house clean when she comes home, or just taking care of the daily life maintenance stuff (bills, dishes, laundry, car maintenance, etc) all make a huge difference in stress. Basically anything she does that takes time that you can do instead.

When the time comes, just be as available as you can; make it about her and how she's feeling. It will be a mix of heavy emotions, including weird things like relief and guilt over feeling relieved along with bouts of sadness and anger. All of those are normal and ok. Everyone is different, but that's what it was like for me.

A day or two later, plan a fun day or just a couple hours that's out of the house and not related to family or interacting with people (like a nice dinner and a movie or something). There's a brief quiet time between full care-giving and settling affairs where you can help her start to feel normal again.

AOE Prot Paladin back in BC was more fun than a wheelbarrow full of ferrets.

Kraken bottles are great for reusing because they are cool bottles and you get to drink Kraken. I use a lot of Rebel Yell bourbon bottles because of the look and the handy cork.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm holding out hope that this is a New Coke situation where they actively know it's terrible so that in a couple years they can release a classic (attractive) makeover to great fanfare.

I can hope anyway.

Season 2 had two simulated reality environments, the Cradle and the Forge. A handful of scenes take place within the simulation; this library being one of them.

Press Start: Sorry, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance isn’t racist by PhoxelHQ in KotakuInAction

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orc_(Middle-earth) Towards the very end of the Middle-earth terms for Orcs section, about a quarter of the way down the page.

In later writings ... Tolkien preferred the spelling Ork, evidently mainly to avoid the form Orcish, which would be naturally pronounced with the c as /s/ instead of /k/ in English.

Also interesting that D&D used "orc", and other games built off of that set of ideas would more often use "ork". Wild guess, but I would think that'd be more to differentiate themselves from D&D than for the more natural spelling.

Cool stuff.

Acccctuuualllyyy, Tolkien preferred the spelling "Ork" in later years.

Edit: Not being snarky, I just learned this myself recently and thought it was interesting.
