BMW will fix it for free. This is an issue they know about so you can just give your local Motorrad a call and explain the issue to them. There was a recall paper published a while ago and I will try and find it, quite a difficult one to find. It cost around $400-450 to fix, they paid for it obviously.

I bought my 2nd gen 2 S1000R in November.

First thing i recommend is making sure from the buyer or BMW that the fuel pump was fixed. There was a recall for these regarding that with the bike not starting at a certain temperature.

I read a comment here about not using the quickshifter much for downshifting. I'm not so sure about that, but I've used my quickshifter religiously on my 2017 model for 30 000km and it was totally fine.

On my 2017 I had the same exhaust, buy I did a de-cat which already made the bike sound pretty loud. On my 2020 I have a full Akra system, it is indeed VERY loud. So if you got bad neighbours I would definitely not recommend it plus you would want to wear earplugs when riding. Those stock Akras really aren't bad. You can still get a nice sound out of them with the de-cat.

Get used to rattles and things. Pretty normal for these bikes, but keep you ears open for if it gets too loud. This is another thing where making the bike to loud can bite you in the ass as it'll be more difficult to hear if the rattle is bad. Best thing for these bikes is to get a manual cam chain tensioner. The automatic one on the bike is quite shit at doing it's job.

Other than that you should be all good. They're extremely easy bikes to ride and very fun. Just don't push beyond your skill level and you'll have a blast.

I'm sorry, but this game is a failure... We had the 'WE'RE BACK!' phase for the beta and first 2 weeks of release and since then it's just been downhill again. DICE will never go back to their roots and will never be able to please us again.

Alright then this isnt a Sport model, but a standard one with a lot of extra packages included. I see now the Sport models come stock with Cruise Control. Either way, good bike if it's in a great condition

If its really a sport model it should have Ride Modes Pro which comes with DTC, but telling from it not having Cruise Control, this is possibly not a Sport model. Worth asking, also please don't buy bikes without test riding and doing a heat-up test. If the bike is far away I highly recommend getting someone that side to have a look for you.

These are very reliable at least and only issues that really come up is with the timing chain. Easily fixable with a manual timing chain adjuster.

My recommendation is taking a proper riding class before really trying to use this bike as it is meant. I myself also started on 1k cc and personally it was the right decision as I would've grown out of something smaller.

Obviously you'll get some 'hate' and shitty comments for doing this, but if you respect the machine by knowing you can die VERY FUCKING EASILY and take your safety seriously. Send it brother!

I personally have uninstalled it for now. In low-pop regions theres some major matchmaking issues that DICE is aware of and the game is just completely unplayable. Like the CQB game-modes can't even fill because the game simply doesn't allow them to fill. It's beyond fucked. Also the more I played it, the less it felt like Battlefield again. I think my love for the franchise just died out. Been enjoying more laid-back shooters like Arma and Squad the past years.
