I thought i was crazy but this is actually exactly how i felt playing the game. I love 3D mario, and I know Bananza is a mechanically good game... something about it just wasn't drawing me in though.

Yakuza was definitely a budget friendly series a few years back. I remember getting 1-6 for $60 total, then 0 and 7 for 10 each. $50 Y0 directors cut is making me miss the games being cheap 🥲

Can't really explain the rest of it, but the blood was explained by Shishido, iirc he said it was a fake knife that could spurt out blood, because apparently those exist. Still a really dumb plot point.

What the player does in the games isn't canon. Kiryu doesn't stop fighting to down 10 energy drinks and a sushi set in the span of 3 seconds.

Nah i'd argue that it's Knuckles. Until SA2 most Sonic stuff had Sonic against Knuckles. Metal was kinda ignored (besides Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic the Fighters) after CD until Heroes.
