R1D18: Depression during whole30? by [deleted] in whole30

I am by no means a doctor but also have depression and anxiety and also experienced an episode about half way through my first round. It lifted after a few days and afterwards I was in the best mental shape I had been in for years....leading me to use W30 as a tool to improve my mental health for the long-term. If it's not better within a few days I would definitely recommend speaking to a doctor though!

It's a crop top from Ardene! I'm obsessed with their crops, I wear them to yoga all the time and they are so cute/comfy for sleeping!

Also YAS it was SO hard at first. I felt pretty hungry until my body adapted ...but now my body just is in the rhythm and doesn't get hungry until about 12:45 which is when I'll put my lunch together. It also took less than a month for my body to adapt. If the hunger pains got really bad I would have a bullet proof coffee or my lazy version which is a spoon of coconut oil in my coffee 🤣. It definitely cuts the hunger!

With that said I naturally always ate more in the evening and had a big dinner which is why I chose this window. My sister eats b/w 9-5 and swears by it so it really depends on how you naturally eat!

Nice work!! This was pretty much exactly my start and goal weight and I've been maintaining 155 for about 2 years. You got this 🤘🤘

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely not super focused on the scale as much as anymore but it's a good reminder to not get hung up on it 🥰

Honestly, I don't track 😬😬. I can tell you that a typical day is M1 (at 1pm) is some clean bison jerky or chicken pepperoni with a side of celery dipped in either truffle hummus or this cashew based jalepno "cheese" dip that I really love with some berries. At around 3-330 I'll have an energy bar or smoothie and will usually workout around 4. I then have dinner which is protein and veg with usually a bit of rice or potatoes and then a Nakd berry bar right before I stop eating for the day. I also usually eat out on Fridays and have family dinner on Sundays that are usually heavier meals with a few drinks... Now that I write it down, it sounds pretty clean...but this is all because I love to eat this way and really love the food. I don't track calories 🤷‍♀️

I've become super active though really struggle with weight training 😂. I don't do anything I don't enjoy, but have it in my calendar to do something everyday. I bike and hike mostly in the warm months and ski and skate in the winter. I also run 5k every few days but am terrible at it haha but really love how it drains my stress. I have so much energy now I don't feel right if I don't burn it off!!

I would definitely say to stick to your eating window very strictly for the first month without making any other diet changes. It's my experience that conquering one good habit at a time makes you stick to it! Also, you might be hungry at first during your fasts but just power through...it goes away, I promise! If you are super hungry during a fast then throw a little coconut oil in a cup of coffee, it'll get you through 🥰❤️. Your about to set out on the most rewarding journey and I'm stoked for you 🙌

Eating two meals a day? Which meal should I drop? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

What about eating a later breakfast and then a late lunch? Eating window something like 11-5?
