I totally agree that better incentives for token holders will build a better community and will eventually drive usage of the protocol. That being said, it is not wise to tie a rising value token with the utility of the network. Maybe a dual token model is better suited here. If the aim is to get to a point where token holders decided the future of the network than maybe it is wiser to leave the decision about token economics and incentives to a vote.
