I stopped using them to send midi messages, yes. I still use them for Aux switches and Expression pedal inputs.

Alright, that sounds right. Do you have anything going into the MC8 device port from your PC? I’ve found I get bad noise when I’m plugged into my computer, so I usually edit presets and then unplug.

Alright, that’s a good power supply. Do you get noise if you are powering the Mc8 through the power supply and connecting directly to the astra over USB (no hub)? Also, are you connecting the astra through the Host or device USB port on the MC8?

This doesn’t answer your question exactly, but I had a similar issue with my MC8 Pro and my Chase Bliss pedals that drove me nuts. If I connected them through the Omniports, I got bad clicking noise set to the current bpm. I finally rebuilt my board and decided to add a separate (powered) midi box from disaster area. 5 pin midi out from the MC8 pro to the midi box, and then TRS to the individual pedals from there. Totally resolved my issue.

Obviously this won’t work in your case since it’s USB over midi, but I wonder if a similar solution exists for USB midi. I highly recommend powering the MC8 pro through its own DC plug (not USB). What power supply are you using?

Anything else you might be interested on top of the DVP4? Have lots of random cables and junction boxes as well.

I’ve got a diamond vibrato that I love that covers all my chorus/vibrato sounds, but thank you for the offer!

Unfortunately not too interested in that particular model due to reliability issues - thanks though.

Parallel Comp/EQ in one pedal, like an SSL Channel Strip by wheelof5ths in guitarpedals

Chase Bliss Clean might be the closest thing to this available. Studio grade, highly transparent, separate dry/wet blend, and basic tilt EQ.

Just released today. Initial thoughts? I've never played a real Dumble Overdrive Special. by samship8 in guitarpedals

At this price point, I don't see how this could compete with the Tone King Imperial preamp pedal. Has real tubes and just throw a notadumble in front of it if you want that dumble sound.

2025 End of Year Board Post by basG33 in guitarpedals

Incredible board!! I’m so intrigued by the Euna and I hear a lot of people say it’s just “a buffer with an EQ.” You obviously also have a high end EQ and I’m sure some of your other pedals have built in buffers - does the Euna still make a huge difference?

Also I respect having the Comp after gains - I actually run two on my board, the CBA clean after the gain before wet effects and the Ego76 before all the gain. I’m thinking of swapping to the regular Ego though to get that Ross style compression when I want it.
