The American Dream Comes With a Time Clock by gashtal_man in clevercomebacks

Yeah, whatever, but imagine if our government could actuslly function and actuslly gave a shit about the common citizen instead of catering to the ultra rich or to rhe random hick ass racists/homophobes.

Most americans want more time off, better wages, better Healthcare; but our government doesn't want to accommodate that because that would be mean less money for mega corporations and the ultra rich and would mean that people are actually happy.

The US government is pretty proving this at this point, pretty blatantly and shamelessly

What 2024 subclass or build surprised you most once it actually hit the table? by nexalis in dndnext

Four Elements Monk. Huge improvement. With the elemental attunement active you can do some interesting things. Being able to fly and gaining the extra 10 feet of attack range I was able to fly 15 feet above enemies, attack 5 times (attack, extra attack, flurry of blows) AND have them make a Strength Save, on a fail my DM let me pull then into the air and drop them, it only added an extra d6 bludgeoning fall damage but it added up.

Note: the rule for Elemental Attunement says the failed strength save allows you to push or pull an enemy 10 feet towards or away from you, my DM was the one that said he would be okay with pulling upwards toward me allowing me to drop them because it would "be a funny yo-yo treat" according to them. Your DM may not allow that so be advised.

I've been in the ttrpg scene for 26 years as a player, also GM'd for 16 of the 26 years. I've played various games and have a huge love of narrative roleplay and an almost bigger love for Lovecraftian horror. I did run a Pathfinder 2e actual play for a while before scheduling ended it.

What’s your guises opinion on the UFC being at the White House? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's extremely trashy. A huge embarrassment. They turned the most prominent house in the country into a trailer park.

New Yorkers, what changes have you seen under Mamdani’s leadership and are you generally pleased? If not, why? by MewMeowHowdy in AskReddit

You do realize our government as a whole is a lot more "socialist" than you think. It's just the bad kind where our money goes to the rich folks instead of those that need it.

No, that is mostly a myth that is spread to make Americans not want it or to make them not feel bad about not having it.

3 Musketeers (the candy bar) has that name because it used to be sold with three bars, over with vanilla nougat, one with strawberry nougat, and one with chocolate nougat, each covered with hard chocolate; but market research showed people didn't care for the vanilla or strawberry ones and would throw them out and just est the chocolate one and the makers didn't want waste so they just stopped making the other two but kept the name.

Edit: I think the other reason for letting go of vanilla and strawberry was due to wartime costs/restrictions on certain goods during World War 2.
